No one seems to realize the part where apes never evolved into a seven ton colossus.
Gigantopithecus, the largest ape was maybe 600 kilograms.
T-rex fans or whatever this dinosaur is should stop arguing because you guys are arguing to people may as well be saying that unicorns can walk on rainbows because that's just it - it's imaginary.
Some arguments are to an extent legitimate, but it's just speculation. A dinosaur this size actually existed because they were able to evolve.
@oFolzy That isn't a t-rex but rather a v-rex. V-rex is basically the result of what would happen if a part of the world wasn't effected by the comet and t-rexes had another 65 million years to evolves. There was actually a book of the concepts of the creature designs and why that's the case. For example, t-rex's main weapons were its powerful jaws and ramming skull, v-rex had to evolve a more compacted design for an even greater bite over 9ton at minimum and a more heavier duty skull.
With the more primitive giant growing plant flourishing more in a massive island, prey was able to grow even larger so carnivores followed and since t-rex didn't really had much competition for food at the time, it could adapt more efficiently and grew larger. Even trice grew over 40ft in the island while t-rex evolved to be a 70ft v-rex. However, even sauropod were more available which were a lot of meat for little efforts and v-rex can kill simply by biting their necks off.
@oFolzy Now I'm not saying it's logical but this is just what I heard. King kong is a result when a piece of Africa separated and fused with the prior island giving its skull appeal. Gorillas, bats and some other mammalian creatures adapted and grew much larger due to the plentiful resources and to survive(they show the bat creatures in the book and video game of the movie). Also, because of the vase vegetation and surrounded by an ocean made oxygen more available which kept the insects huge.
@GeeKNoLife my guess is that they thought they could contain a giant gorilla in a populated area, boy where they so wrong lol and dinosaurs would kill and devour every single human on earth.
@gasittig uhh... t.rex was actually a lot more powerful than that. it is said by scientists that the rex could have bit down with over 14,000 lbs of force. considering the teeth and the mass of the jaws, it was an absolutly leathal wepon. rex had the most powerful bite of any animal on the planet, surpassing megalodon. now, kong was a MONSTEROUS gorilla, yes. but, you have to understand that as soon as rex got the bite, it was a life or death struggle. Rex was built for crushing and tearing.
@Rocketdream7 Where are you finding your numbers? The highest I'm finding for the T-Rex is ~6,800lb, in the same article that puts megalodon at 12-20,000lb.
In any case, if their strength is comparable, I'd still side with Kong, whose strength relies on much more muscle than cartilage, and can thus be magnified to a greater extent by adrenaline and other hormones. The greatest danger from a T-Rex bite would be subsequent infection, because of its typically scavenging qualities.
@gasittig wait, so now your saying rex was a full time scavenger? bull shit. rex was just as much of a hunter. besides, i get my info from the books i used to read when i was a teen. tyrannosaurus rex had the bite force to rip a car in half. dont think for a second that rex didnt have the power to kill any animal it chose. megoladon was measured to be at around 10,000 ppsi. i dont know where you got your info, but it is dead wrong. T.rex was a mega carnivore that ate everything that it could.
@Rocketdream7 "typically scavenging" Not full time. In any case, the t-rex info is from a stanford team. Google "stanford t-rex bite" for the t-rex strength, and "chimpanzee 847" for the monkey strength. King Kong wins.
@gasittig stanford researchers? HA! good luck with that. i'l believe that when flying monkeys fly out my ass singing the star spanggled banner. and, just for the record, stanford researchers wouldnt waste their time on something as stupid as this arguement.
@gabrielotnom5 i'm the one who looks like a jackass? pfft have you looked in the mirror lately? anyways, rexy is still the ultimate victor in my book. there aint a damn thing you can do about it :P neither can a "stanford" researcher. nobody knows who would win. it never would have happened.
@Rocketdream7 So your response is that I'm implying I actually have a group of Stanford researchers crowded around me while I rebut your argument, grinning and sipping their coffee? LOL. No, but I provided you with clear google searches to my sources, one of which is a paper by Stanford researchers, whose findings corroborate my initial statements.
If you had argued about the V-rex(which Kong is fighting in the video), you'd be a lot closer. But T-rex doesn't stand a chance.
@Takashi0kisumo dude its there input or vision or creation on what a t rex looks like..im pretty sure they dont refer to the dinosaur as a t rex in the movie so technically it isnt one..it resembles a t rex but it isnt nesasarely one..plus every dinosaur in the movie has a resemblence of the real version of the dinosaur but dosent quite look like what it is known to look like..each dinosaur looks slightly different..plus dinosaurs went extinct but there alive on the island..evolution..3 fingers?
I think out of common sense all those V-Rex's fighting together would have so won but it's a movie about a Gorilla and a blond chick. @AntagonisticEnemy he would lay waste to a T-Rex, I am sick of people saying trex would own Kong. Not a chance in hell. Now the Spinosaurus that would be a fight, Kong would still win though. However Godzilla would waste Kong.
@Zorolord yeah godzilla is only 350 or so feet compared to a 25 foot gorilla lets keep the fights based in size class. Off course in the king kong vs godzilla moive kong was much bigger. Also kong is a american made monster and godzilla a japanese monster inspired by post ww2 feelings of japan against america. Godzilla was supposed to represent america. Kong is strong and smarter then both dinosaurs. And the spinosaurus is still not yet a proven dinosaur as there was only a single complete
@Zorolord That was destoryed in ww2 during a nazi bombing. The skeleton could of been a bunch of mismatching parts like the brontosaurus was later proven to be the body of one dinosaur with the skull of enough hehe
@AntagonisticEnemy Minor correction: The Spinosaurus skeleton was discovered by a German paleontologist and stored at a museum in Munich, which was destroyed by Allied bombing.
kong should be dead by now, before, 3 V-Rexes bit him, with POISONIOUS TEETH. Honestly, I don't get how a *evolved* version o the most dangerous animal that ever lived or walked the Earth that originally could bite through 3,000 pounds per square inch ('cause of this kong's arm should've been bitten off aswell) could be beaten by a freakin ape.
@BlueRexRage well you gotta put certain things in perspective, a regular alpha male silverback gorilla has the strength of ten men. its capable of uprooting trees with one hand and if really pissed off could destroy a small car. now if a regular gorilla is capable of such feats of strength then imagine what a 30 foot tall 50 ton one could O_o
haha man some of these comments are funny to say the movie was not all that bad and the game they released was actually the best movie game ive played
In the "King kong universe" a V-rex is the evolved T-rex for more swamp-like environments. Notice the bigger feet for more grip on slippery surfaces. There a no real archeological findings of these V-rex...
You should check out the extra's from the DVD, there're many more cool facts on this godforsaken island

Nothing on this planet, mammal or reptile, could have escaped a t.rex's bite. Not even kong would have in real life.
Rocketdream7 4 months ago
@Rocketdream7 The T-rex is said by stanford engineers to be able to exert between 1400 and 3000lb of force.
Now consider that a 135lb female chimp was recorded achieving a 1,260lb one arm pull.
Now consider that silverback gorillas are three times as large and powerful as chimpanzees.
Now consider that Kong is about five times the size of the average silverback gorilla.
Yeah, I'm gonna side with Kong, who's adrenaline fueled rage enables him to exert over 10,000lb of force - with each arm.
gasittig 3 months ago 10

Rocketdream7 3 months ago
@gasittig 1260 of horizontal force 200 lbs of vertical force could brake that 135lb chimp
Consider a 300lb Strong Man competitor that could squat ass to ground 750lbs for reps and pull a 5000-7000lb.
Statistics used like that arnt any good. a croc can bite down with about 5000lbs of force per square inch
pureefficient 2 months ago
@gasittig
I'd rather not.
Let's take a look at the T. Rex bite force.
All the time, we've been calculation from a FEEDING standpoint.
Now add adrenaline, add body mass, add speed.
One of the bites to his arm could probably have torn it straight off.
That being said, I'm not saying that Rex would win. I'm just saying the odds are more even than you think.
Ins3ktz 1 month ago

@AntagonisticEnemy he would lay waste to a T-Rex, I am sick of people saying trex would own Kong. Not a chance in hell. Now the Spinosaurus that would be a fight, Kong would still win though. However Godzilla would waste Kong.
Zorolord 7 months ago
@Zorolord yeah godzilla is only 350 or so feet compared to a 25 foot gorilla lets keep the fights based in size class. Off course in the king kong vs godzilla moive kong was much bigger. Also kong is a american made monster and godzilla a japanese monster inspired by post ww2 feelings of japan against america. Godzilla was supposed to represent america. Kong is strong and smarter then both dinosaurs. And the spinosaurus is still not yet a proven dinosaur as there was only a single complete
AntagonisticEnemy 7 months ago
@Zorolord That was destoryed in ww2 during a nazi bombing. The skeleton could of been a bunch of mismatching parts like the brontosaurus was later proven to be the body of one dinosaur with the skull of enough hehe
AntagonisticEnemy 7 months ago
@AntagonisticEnemy Ah rite didn't know that. Kong is smart T-Rex is a somewhere between a dumb reptile and bird enough said.
Zorolord 7 months ago
@AntagonisticEnemy Minor correction: The Spinosaurus skeleton was discovered by a German paleontologist and stored at a museum in Munich, which was destroyed by Allied bombing.

I like the CGI, but V-Rex was MUCH stronger then King Kong. One bite in its arm and king lost its arm
CarnivoreFightClub 7 months ago
apes that big and that smart never existed....so a gorilla would crap itself while climbing the nearest tree if a t-rex was around lol

The one thing I would do with a time machine is go back to the thirties, screen this exact film , and watch the room literally shit itself to death.

How could a giant ape open up a t rex mouth if a t rex could bite 3000 miles per squareninch

kong should be dead by now, before, 3 V-Rexes bit him, with POISONIOUS TEETH. Honestly, I don't get how a *evolved* version o the most dangerous animal that ever lived or walked the Earth that originally could bite through 3,000 pounds per square inch ('cause of this kong's arm should've been bitten off aswell) could be beaten by a freakin ape.
BlueRexRage 9 months ago
@BlueRexRage well you gotta put certain things in perspective, a regular alpha male silverback gorilla has the strength of ten men. its capable of uprooting trees with one hand and if really pissed off could destroy a small car. now if a regular gorilla is capable of such feats of strength then imagine what a 30 foot tall 50 ton one could O_o

Can somebody tell me, why thats a "V-Rex"?
Where is the difference to a T-Rex?
Taker6661LifaD 10 months ago
@Taker6661LifaD
