Before Muhammad was born, Allah was already worship by the Arabs. Allah is just one of many idols that Arabs worship before. Allah is just a moon god and Arabs long time ago worship of heavenly bodies like sun, moon, star. But when Muhammad arrive he destroyed all the idols but preserve the moon god. That's why Kaaba is still around..
Allah is a moon idol. The proof is the crescent moon above a mosque.
