i will like clarify certain facts that u stated first of all there is between 500,000 to a million illegal bengali's who live in Pak mostly Karachi. These ind work and live in Pakistan and travel back and forth to Bengaldesh to visit their fam on reg basis, so by no means are they stuck in Pak. Like the bihari's who r stuck in a legal dispute for da last 35+ years, abd they are between 240,000 - 260,000 much less than the illegal bengali's in Pakistan.

There was a war going on in 1971, and what Pakistan did was part of war. Mukhti Bhani and their workers committed atrocities against innocentt Bihari's as well whose only crime was to be in the wrong place at the same time. What the Pakistan army did was a reaction, perhaps a severe one but nonetheless a reaction.

What is international community, how do you describe it. We already started getting recognition from countries who weren't in the war e.g. commonwealth. West allies China & US used PAK for a secret flight for Nixon to see Zedong to make an alliance against the soviets, complex cold war politics who have veto privileges. Arabs who were against soviets did the same, showing they cared more about the fear communism then what Islam declares.

When they sided with the British, it was to rid of the Ottoman (secular Turk) who was discriminating against them. However, using the common method of imperialism, they divided up Arabia into different countries by antagonising communal fights. Behind that was British.

Urdu and Bengali came from different language families, so no, we would not have a wholly different language be thrown at us to learn, but your peoples idea of getting Urdu across to East Wing is by shooting unarmed students. Miles of Indian territory would obviously mean we are culturally different, people in the west have little difficulty into assimilating thelanguage due to similarities in culture and same branch of languages.

1. Bengali language is from same family as Urdu. Bengali is the most eastern Indo European language.
2. Because Bengali are Muslims they read and learn Arabic. Arabic /Fari , Urdu alphabet are similar.
3. In mosques and other religious gathering speeches continue to be in URDU even today.
That was just an excuse by nationalist to break down the Muslim Unity.

Eastern Indo Aryan - theres a difference between Indo Euro, we developed from Sanskrit. Whereas Urdu is influenced by Persian & Arabic calligraphy. The distance between the two families is vast. Which mosques preaches Urdu, and how is that relevant. Bengalis learn to read the Holy Quran, but Arabic its only been used for reading.

Faith/Muslim Brotherhood regardless of Race and nation. We don't have a problem with Iran. Iran and Pakistan are only 2 Islamic republics in the world. All others countries contradict Islam. Gromell lol lol : Bengali is spoken by more ppl because Bengali includes India/Hindu also. Panjabi is widespread spoken language BUT URDU is Muslim National language. Urdu is very simpler to Persian/Farsi and is written in Arabic with many Arabic words.. Bengali Muslims including Imams continue to speak URDU even today that is a fact. The area you speak of is West Pakistan, you are clustered together with the ability to span influence socially, politcally and economically. This is an example of Geo-Politics, East Pakistan is seperated by India, now you add that on with the fact of contributing most of the economy and recieving little which means little to no development of the region in anyway. The atomic program from the 60s is thanks mostly to East Pakistan because of the vast money input by them.

E.Pakistan was more populous then W, yet the spending was concentrated on their region, if they were poor its because of insufficient spending by federal govt. Oh yes, with the "One Unit" scheme by making West an entire province only to counter against votes from the East. After the brake away, the Punjabis who were mostly dominant in politics then changed the vote system based on population to still maintain power as they outnumbered Balochs, Pashtun, etc. If it were based on popn. then East would have had proper representation in the nation.

Urdu not even a legitimate language. It was not created and flourished like other languages. It is written in farsi/arabic words and spoken in hindi. How it be natural language like hindi or bengali or english. As the natural result of flourishing a language, a language can take words from other language. Like guru, pandit, jungle in English language. All of these words came from shanskrit. But look at Urdu. The way it was created and flourished is weird.

Well I am a Pakistani and I deeply regret whatever happened in Bangladesh. I strongly feel that we the Pakistanis should formally apollogise although this can never heal the wounds we have caused to our Muslim brothers.

Henry Kissinger went to China during the conflict, and told them that they would look the other way if China joined Pakistan to attack India. They even sent a nuclear armed aircraft carrier, the USS Enterprise, to threaten India. In the end, I'm glad Indira Gandhi did not waver.....the only regret is that Mujibur Rehman was assassinated shortly after.
