Lol, as a kid Huff n Puff got me stuck and i never got past him no matter how many times i tried. My old game log to this day reads 99:59. I started a new playthrough a few months ago, and around 20 hrs i reached Huff n Puff. Beat him in one try w Bow as my companion.

He kept sucking up all his comrades... and i had to stock up on Super Mushrooms, Stone Caps, and use Goombario's Charge and Multibonk to take out this stupid giant potato cloud. MAN! See thanks to World 7 of New Super Mario Bros DS and Wii i dont hate clouds but because of Huff N. Puff, i was so close on giving up on the sky...

For this boss, I later discovered the majestic beauty of Power Charge and patience. Before, however, when I was in elementary school, my tactics included dying a lot and throwing my controller across the fucking room. I hate bosses who can regenerate their health!!! so lousy :C

All you need are a few Fire Flowers; they deal minimal damage, and Parakarry.

Here's Huff 'n Puff's battle style:

1st Turn: Heal.

2nd Turn: Attack.

And that goes on.

But occasionally, he uses his Lightning attack.

I don't think he's that bad. I screwed up the first time today BTW, because my items didn't affect him. I had Lakilester that try, but changed into Parrakarry. Parrakarry can also get rid of all the puff clouds that pop out of Huff n Puff. I recommend using the "Chill out" star power. It really helps and makes you invulnerable to the Puff clouds that gather around you.

Heh, I remember that whenever I fought this boss I would deliberately fail the action command for Shiny surge so that he wouldn't absorb his tuff puffs. A bit of a moot dgesture, come to think of it.

Still, good times. Never had too much trouble with this guy, actually. The final bowser was a whole different story, though. And Kent C. Koopa x_x

I'm still surprised how many people think this was a really hard boss. I beat him using Bow's abiilty to escape the lightning, and Shooting stars to hit him and the little guys. Down in one try.

Though I do remember having incredible amounts of lag whenever I used the shooting stars. XD

This boss used to be so hard for me. Every time I fought him I needed 60 HP, 40 FP, and lots of healing items.

But for some reason the first time I fought him I only had 50 HP, Around 25 FP, and not much healing items.

A couple of days ago, I beat him with only 40 HP, 30 FP and almost no healing items.

I find him easy now. You just need lots of good badges and a good strategy

Defense +1 badge, Chill Out Star Power, powerful attacks all at once, followed by an 'all enemy hitting' move, which prevents it from getting all of the HP you initially took back. He's fairly easy if you follow that tactic. I beat him on my first try doing that.

simple...use ur ultra boots+spikes spike storm, while on some turns using cloud 9, and blocking attacks in case they fail...a tip, his first move is sucking them in, and the next is blowing at you, so at the second turn, use cloud 9.

theres one downside. most of the time, he'll use his final resort smash;hell fly up and pound the ground, making u take serious damage-about 10.

its been years, so idk much about it. i still got it when i feel like it...

A good way to fight Huff N. Puff id to use S. Jump Charge and then do a power bounce. If you do it right, there should be a ton of those little Huff N. Puff guys. Then, use Lakilester's Spiny surge attack and that should kill of a lot of those other guys.
