@erhiueQWEF I get the feeling it did at first but I think it got pushed out before it was 100% complete. The reason I say that is because in the first half of the game there's quite a few cutscenes, sometimes doing nothing more than showing a bell tolling etc. but in the second half you get practically no cutscenes: no boss introductions, death sequences etc. and the most shocking is the final boss which has NO cutscenes at all O.o - really weird that Quelaag has one but the final boss doesn't.

Chose a bad time to try healing there lol make sure you're safe before trying to heal, doing so right in front of the monster is a silly thing to do... also you can still play while the icon is on the screen, but you can't get rid of it when you're in the middle of an action ie (holding L1 to block)

heh i told myself i wouldn't post any tips but i guess i can't help myself what dumbass i am.to use any kind of Magic, the player will first have to learn a spell, and equip a Catalyst that corresponds to the spell's Magic class.After the spell is learned,it must be equipped at a Bonfire with the Attune Magic option.A spell has a set amount of uses,before it is depleted,but resting at a Bonfire will fully replenish it.Some spells can be equipped more than once,if the player has enough slots.hmph

@wow85 Both (I think). I KNOW that you can buy talismans (the guy Phil got the spell from sells them!). And I think they're randomly dropped but that is only a guess. You can find them in the world too. I found a sorcerer's catalyst in my game.

@WizardNeedsFood1 I'm getting it for the hiking simulator actually. It looks beautiful, and I can't wait to explore every inch of that game. May not be as rewarding as Dark Souls, but good enough for me. I played and beat Demon Souls, then never played it again. Same with Arkham Asylum. I still play Oblivion to this date and really enjoy it for what it is, even if it has some game breaking bugs. No more cookie cutter maps and it's all hand made. This is the best hiking simulator yet.

They've already shown off the new engine, and just to let you know, Oblivion is still one of the highest recommended games of all time, unlike the new Batman Games. @Someguy029 Yeah its just an updated version of the gamebryo engine. They just changed the name to make it seem new. They did the same thing with fallout 3 claiming that the graphics would be better and there would be no crashes...And what happened there were crashes and glitches. You can keep shelling out 60 bucks for mindless fetch quests if you want. With the game and all the DLC's for arkham city im sure i will get my money worth.

@xAceMCcloudx No. It's a new engine. That's confirmed. And If fetch quests mixed with hundreds of hours of exploration gets me 300+ hours, then so be it. More than what Arkham will give. Gamebryo is gone. Of course there will be glitches as there is and always will be room for improvement, but Skyrim is what I believe to be excellency at its highest level. You get my point. Maybe I'm a fanboy, but I'm not shelling out 60 bucks for a 15 hour campaign with mindless collectables to go find.

I admire Dark Souls willingness to make such a hard game, and can see how rewarding the gameplay might be. I'm almost certain that this game will get your heart pumping faster than any other retail game on the market. Still, I'd prefer Skyrim. Less frustrating, more replay value, better graphics, more things to do, stuff like that. IMO of course.

This is one game I won't be playing. I was thinking about it, but it's a no go. It's not that it's difficult as I do like a challenge but it looks way to slow for me. I played Dragon Age and beat that with all the DLC available in under 80 hours. This game would take me longer than that to beat. Not to mention I did all the quests I possibly could.

phil the controls are actually very precise and free flowing. You just have to anticipate and watch their movements. It's a different way of thinking. No you can't just go in like an offensive moron. You have to use a strategy and defense and everything in between. I love the combat in this game personally.

@junkyardjeff1 the conttrols actually are very precise. That's the thing. Once you learn the movements it becomes really rewarding and 2nd nature. Yes they are very precise where if you dont hit the controls the right way it will f up. It's actually very realistic that way.

TO USE THE HEALING SPELL:

Phil, you have a talisman as an equip in your inventory. To use your healing spell, equip your talisman (left or right hand) and "use" it with either Left Bumper, or Right Bumper depending on which hand your talisman is equipped to.
