I remember seeing this movie when it first came out. I used to love it as a kid.

I forgot so much of it. The third story didn't suck nearly as much as I remembered it to.

I really don't get why movie critics dissed this movie. So it focused a lot on "morphing monsters", that's what made the show cool (it worked for Pokemon too). So they didn't show the usual character development, you had to be a fan of the show to understand the characters. So they didn't show the whole story of Digimon; again, you had to watch the show. Why do movie critics insist on dissing movies based on good TV series? (I have no sympathy for The Last Airbender though)

@rockandrollfan93 I agree that Season 4 was a disgrace, but data squad was actually pretty damn good, if you can get over the different voice for agumon. I highly reccomend watching it. I think you will like it, its drawn in a more mature style, older characters (high school instead of early preteens) and a great and original plot that is not sensored and sugar coated like the original seasons

While this was a part of my childhood, I went and watched the original Japanese version....yeah, let's just say there's alot missing from this version. I mean the could have kept all the footage and still had the same plot line work, but NOOO they had to go and cut the fuck out of it!!!

The first two largely stay intact (a view scenes have small unnoticeable cuts) but where this movie fucks up the third film. The original digi destined are captured in the Japanese version, we don't even see them in the American one. They say Cocomon is actually the spawn of Diaboromon, where as in the Japanese version he is twins with Gummymon and just disappears while Willis is out in the field one day.
