paramedic - NC. people dont give a shit about us man, they dont realize it until they need us. they also dont realize we run the risk of getting hit, and working these long hours and sacrificing for shit pay because we actually want to help people. but no one ever takes it into account. they think twice when they circling the drain though.

Although the band isn't religious Dustin is an extremely devout Christian and his lyrics usually have parallel meanings in both the real world and in the religious sense. Here he's talking about how everyone should really take a deeper meaning at life and see what they can do to change it, and not take it for granted.
this song to me is sayin like, there is always another chance at life, like getting things right. And there is always going to be something to save you from the rough patches in the road, something that will always make you feel like your soul is coming back to live, as if when you are dealing with a lot of hardships it feels like your soul dies. But that is just what i get from the song.

Glad to hear that i'm training to be an EMT and i go under call right now as "man power" but i want to be able to be an EMT
I'm a volunteer both EMS and Fire side but no they don't really go hand in hand.
Fire has to deal with more danger then EMS that said there are still times when EMT s get into wrecks
and EMS is more helping the patient after they are pulled out.
been trying to get more EMT's in my fire dept. myself unfortunately the paperwork is horrible so its hard

paramedic - NC. people dont give a shit about us man, they dont realize it until they need us. they also dont realize we run the risk of getting hit, and working these long hours and sacrificing for shit pay because we actually want to help people. but no one ever takes it into account. they think twice when they circling the drain though.

Paramedic SC, You got it right my man. Every now and then you'll get somebody that really appreciates it, but normally they dont give two shits about us until they need us.
Stephen must be an EMT and new to the job, cuz i remember being like that.

Paramedics are used as an analogy in this song. Although the band isn't religious Dustin is an extremely devout Christian and his lyrics usually have parallel meanings in both the real world and in the religious sense. Here he's talking about how everyone should really take a deeper meaning at life and see what they can do to change it, and not take it for granted.

this song to me is sayin like, there is always another chance at life, like getting things right. And there is always going to be something to save you from the rough patches in the road, something that will always make you feel like your soul is coming back to live, as if when you are dealing with a lot of hardships it feels like your soul dies. But that is just what i get from the song.

I think it meens that the peramedics are gods angels on earth, saving people daily from the jaws of chance. And they are more then the flashing lights and sounds and sometimes people forget it.

Yeah, no offense to paramedics but I think this song is a metaphor....not talking crap but Dustin's lyrics are usually pretty deep

shoot i am a firefighter paramedic and i am so stoked this song is one of the few things throughout my day i can think of to keep me going. its nice to know we are appreciated.
