it's totally perfect and I will give you credit for it. :D

  • May I please have permission to use this in one of my videos? I would give full and complete credit. Please let me know what you think and great job!

  • Short and impressive ! - 5 stars. ~ Seattle

  • Wow. How long did this take you?

  • Wow.... awesome :D

Could someone please tell where was this taken?? What part of the city?? Is it Battery Park City or what?? Cuz i've this red building on the right in my head, and it's in Battery Park City... but now i'm a bit confused...

On the up right corner you can see a bridge?? Under that bridge there's an island... what is it?? Now... the only island i know it's under a bridge it's Roosvelt Island!!

THAT'S WHY I'M CONFUSED... Help me please!!!

  • Yes Battery park City

  • No but... what's that bridge then?? I mean... if you say we're in Battery Park City, we are looking south, towards the Upper NY Bay, and there are no bridge over the Hudson River, except the GW Brg, but it's norther.

So again where was this taken??... What's that street underneath those buildings?? It's not West Side Hwy!!! What is it??

And the guy under here is talkin about a connecting bridge over the FDR, sothis was taken in the East River side!!

I guess it's East Village then...

  • @thendlessonline It is not Battery Park City. I have been to NYC two months ago and I can tell you this. This is East Village for sure, East River, Manhattan Side.

That's why you can clearly see the ESB!!!

And that bridge, yes, that bridge is Queensboro Brg without any doubt!

  • looks great

  • my cousin lives in that building next to yours!

  • Nice angle!

  • fisheye!!!!!!!!

  • i live near this.. i have a timelapse of my own on this very spot. on the connecting bridge over fdr in the bottom left corner.. this one looks way cooler though.

    nice work!

  • This is a awesome.

  • Hello how are you? Me and my friends are making our final skateboard montage till our big video comes out in Summer of 09. Now in the begining of the Montage we want to show a time lapse of NYC and It would say EastSide Skateboarding Presnts.. blah blah blah haha but I wanted to know if i can use this. At the end of our montage we will say Filming by(then put our friends) and then say Time Lapse Intro by Nick and then your last name or youtube account whichever your prefer. Please reply soon!

  • make a time lapse of the east side of your own town. and if you live in NY make your own NY time Lapse. Did you think of any of this first?

  • lets see i'm 15, dont have video camera, so did you ever think of that first?

  • buy one. 15 year olds can work. stop skating

  • sorry nick for posting all this. stop skating? why? I've been doing it since i was six and its one of my favorite things to do. I'm sponsored i'm not just gonna quit them, they are good to me

  • wallpaperkilla - c'mon, the guy is nice enough to ask for permission to make sure he's not stealing the work of another artist. Let's not flame him for doing that okay? And what's with the angry attacks on skating?!

  • thanks dz!

  • my aunt lives in the identical building on left of this building.

  • cool, but the view could be better...

  • Cool!!

  • very cool!

  • that would have looked better if you didnt use a fish eye lense

  • That was awesome. I disagree with the comment about it being ugly during the day. The sunlight filtering through the clouds and bringing the shadow in and out on the left building is really cool.

  • that was mega kool

  • what was shutter speed?

  • it was set to take a photo every minute, i believe. It was set to auto exposure because of the change in lighting

  • cool

  • amazing how some people's lights never go off and the cars just keep going by

    i love living in NY

  • The building across the street is a hospital, so they never turn off some lights. The residential, i guess some people never sleep :)

  • looks nice at night, but ugly at day

  • WOW that was cool
