@bait28 If your unit is oversized that's not good because the A/C is supposed to remove humidity. As for this Luxaire it's beyond repair. It can possibly get us through this summer but that's it. My plan is to replace it before the heating season, but I have a feeling I'll end up replacing it before that.
@bait28 Really? Think about that. Let me explain why.
5. Noise - This is a fine dining restaurant on the other side of that wall are tables. The last thing guests want to hear is that loud thing start up.
6. Oversized for the area - By that I mean cooling power. 10-Tons is way too much cooling power for an area thats only about 2000 sqft. it only needs a 5-Ton.
7. Ineffcient- The last electric bill was $1000. When we don't use the AC/Heat it's only about $500. The unit pulls 135 Amps.
@Xsk8r114 well i didn't know it was in a resteraunt. Also, My unit is oversized, but i don't care, cause it gets the job done really fast. and innefficient, maybe it just needs to be serviced. but anyway if it's not working like it should, replace it.
My Best Friend has a 2003 Luxaire Air Conditioner.

5. Noise
6. Oversized for the area
7. Inefficient
10. Too Old.
Those are really invalid reasons to replace stuff.
