i would easily believe this because the srx 600 with power valves was about 132 hp +/- 2 i'm guessing that would put the 700 around 140 +/- 2, and yamaha did their homework on the stock triple pipes that came on them so for those of you looking for performance boost i wouldn't change the pipes unless you are putting on full race pipes
Maybe about the pipes, I am going to try the (non-Race) Aaen pipe on my 700SRX I have heard good things about them and Aaen claims 10hp and a 25 lbs weight loss. But Yamaha did work on the pipe/muffler its to bad they are so heavy. I've heard of guys stripping all the insulation and then ceramic coating them and they loose a lot of weight.
