Since I live in a dorm and not allowed to play too loud music, I went with companion 20 series which (to me) have a far clearer sound than the Z623. And even at low sound levels it is able to produce good amount of (Reflex) base. :). But If I move or something I'll attach a subfoower with the help of a Y splitter. I am not sure if that setup will work properly or not.

@manishrana50 the bose companion 3 and 5 is my fav for pc I have the logitech z2300 at the mo for my pc there really loud and sound good but of course not as good as bose. Using a Y splitter to me isnt good at all but would hurt to try.

Dude, i love Logitech! they come with awesome gear and its cheap! I bought the Z-5500 not once but TWICE! its f**king powerful sh*t man holy crap! its insane! it does BOOST +11!! thats insane! everything started to shake! XD ;D

I had a difficulty choosing which one to buy the z623 or the z506. I ended up with a z623 and i am very satisfied. Bass is great and loud volume. I cant turn up the volume louder than 25% without my table and chair vibrating and a growth of headaches at the same time. I got this for $150 AU during the boxing day sale. Great bargain!(cheaper than ebay)

@NewPSCity you'll need a 3.5mm male-female audio input cord, and a 3.5mm male-male audio input cord, plug the male-female into your 3.5mm TV audio output, then plug the male-male cord into the female, and into the speakers, then crank the volume on the TV!

i just got these for about $129 CAD, i think, and i must admit, this system is really good! i like the THX logo on the front of the speakers XD they are real powerful, too...attached them to my ipad 2, put on big wreck and cranked the volume all the way up! now, 10 dollars more than i thought they'd be...maybe because i live in canada? i dunno, but i don't care, i love 'em!

Not sure if you know based on what you said. But all sub woofers are omni directional; it's low frequency sound that passes through physical material without interference.

@LilAznKayProductions It actually just pushes all sources through (it mixes them). So it's up to you to play the source you want to hear. Right now I'm sending music from my iTunes while playing Deus Ex - I can control the volume ratio by adjusting my laptops volume output - really cool stuff!
