  • oooouch!!

wanna see some pics of my pussy? go2 my profile! ix

  • wow...

  • That song was beautiful!

  • Just ran across this video (and you) and wanted to say this is a great song. The video was perfect for it. Could only give you 5 stars but would have rated it 3 times if it would let us.

  • Really nice song and great lyrics.

  • This was gorgeous, Chris. The words really touched me. Beautiful job. A lot of the shots were dark and lonesome, maybe because you were alone and looking for someone. But there were various shots of your feet walking... That one gets me. I'm stumped. lol Once again, great job on the song. -Shauna

  • I think the elevator button, the lamp and the drawing at the end were symbolic. I'm not sure why though. Anyway, good song.

  • Great song!! Love these mello songs that have emotion and a great message:)

  • This is a beautiful song Christopher!!! Loved it!!

  • Beautiful song!

  • Ohhhhhhh I really liked that one. Great song. Thanks for sharing this with us Christopher.

  • Awesome! 5 stars! o(^ - ^)o *♥*♥*♥*♥*

  • My new favorite song! o(^-^)o

  • I never really think about symbolism throughout the day. But to me, this video has a lot of symbols not necessarily of general loneliness, but of that specific isolation people feel when they long for someone specific. The single lit window on the building, for instance. The bus passing by. The guitar sitting alone and silent. The lone moon in a sea of stars. The one elevator button on a panel of other buttons.

Beautiful song. Did I mention that? Subbing.

  • Thanks. Good eye.

Not so much a "someone specific" as a "specific KIND OF someone" is what I had in mind, but it could work your way too... At the time I was thinking a lot about a past relationship that worked very well for three years and ended stupidly.

  • This is beautiful.

  • I mean his perceptions, specifically. Thanks tho!

  • Hey, I'm curious too about the symbolisms. Care to share?

    Jess

  • I listen to this almost every nite. So, as it's not exactly to your dream girl, you do sing a lullabye everynite. To me, it's a dream. Thanks!

    Jess

  • Sweet.

  • im listening to this for the millionth time (-:

  • I wish someone would sing me a lullaby...

  • ... I like your shoes.

  • I know you asked for more specific comments, but it was the general mood you set with the video that affected me. It fit so nicely with the wistful nature of the lyrics and melody (I really liked how you accented certain words). And oh, that voice... Don't obsess about the vocals, it doesn't have to *perfect*, it was beautiful.

  • I like it. I don't see much wrong with it. There's something about it. I do agree with you but mostly it's genius. I think if you hit the notes any harder, it might be a different song, but hey it might work like that too. PS really liked the cinematography. I guess there's something echoey? Or the audio of the vocals? But the musical score I deem flawless.

  • ditto on the great song and the melancholic.

  • So beautiful. Thanks so much.

  • This is still one of my favourite songs.

  • Damn it man. I forgot you already made a vid for this song. I am working on a vid for this as we speak. Eh, i guess i'll continue anyway. grrr.

  • Of course! By all means!

  • I would love it if someone sung me a lullaby before sleep.... *sigh*

  • This is my FAVORITE song by you! :0) Enjoyed the video with it!!

  • great song. got me all melancholic. NOW i need a bourbon... thanks for pushing me into alcoholism ;-)

  • post another video where you scream at the end

  • Hey, You've got a really beautiful voice! I loved this song and video, great job!!

  • it's 3am and i'm off to sleep...(-: i'm still gonna go through your other music vids

    <3

  • You're too hard on yourself. This is really good. I'll never call you Michael Bolton again. :)

  • Great lyrics! I like the scene with the clock==reference to "time"...She will show up at "the right time" :)

  • I loved that.

  • if I could, I'd... I don't know. It's just to beautiful!

  • Damn..wish I knew all this about you before SouthTube. We could have done some stuff together in the bar! Maybe a couple of songs together...oh well, maybe next time! :-)

  • what a friggin piece of crap

  • have a nice day

  • dude. you are amazing. kudos to you!

  • Wow.

  • 555

    (not the 1st time)

  • WOW!!!!

  • I would love to make another CM music video, but no way I can top this. Well done CM.

  • VEry Lovely, thanks for visiting my channel and watching. Thought I'd come check yours out too!

  • Beautiful...I loved it. Adding to my favorites :)

  • *sniff* *tear*

  • Once again, nice song.

  • Not many songs manage to penetrate my fortress deep and mighty, but this one just did. (you owe me a box of kleenex now)

    Great song, thanks. :)

  • So far this is my favorite. So I did.

    Be Well.

  • Ok... this is my thought: thre guitar is waiting for you in your lonely house just as a girfriend would... let's think about the similarities of the gutar shape and the feminine body... and also, the guitar can be our best companion...

The picture in the wall is you and your loving guitar, providing company while you wait for your beloved one...

    Beautiful moving song...

  • Nope... you won't get the picture reference...

    I like the guitar idea.

  • Mmm...pretty pictures. That's all the symbolism yer gonna get outta me. :)

Really like the song though. I actually think I might prefer ballad-Mast to rocker-Mast.

  • good song man, the video is perfect with it.

  • So I was thinking, can you sing the "SAUSAGES" song that I have on my Drawing for Katie video? It's one of 2 copyrighted songs I have used EVER on my videos and I can't bare to take it down!

  • It's still copyright infringement even if I cover it. I had to take down a bunch of cover tunes of my own. It's a matter of who owns the rights to the song, not who performs it.

  • Even if I try to find music from iMovie to go along with it? Does that mean Sophia singing Phantom is also copyright infringement?

  • You're probably not going to get busted if a little kid is singing, but...

And yes, even if you find music from iMovie and it's the same song it's copyright infringement. Sorry.

  • You know, I'm too dense to get the symbolism in the video, but the audio was so pretty and touching.

  • Yes, yes, blame mastering.

That's what Jesus would do. ;)

    lol

Actually I think that's the official line from the vatican on Pope John Paul II's cd.

  • A darling of a creation from you, Mast! I love this song too, I love the moon and the hands.....everything will be allright, right?

  • Nice vid. Pretty song.

    Moomay

  • i really love this song. i heard it on your myspace and loved it ever since

  • Nice song.

  • thanks

  • The moon and car - someone is coming home, at night

The bus - the world outside and all the people

The feet - walking slowly, no hurry, nobody to go home to

The lamp, the picture, the guitar - all shots with an item in the frame alone, lonely and isolated

The guitar - something to do, but unused, holds no interest right now

The clock - almost 5 AM. Still awake, wandering around the place.

Nobody to need, needed by nobody.

  • OK, going through the comments, there were some other ideas, but this is how I read it as I listened to the lyrics.

    Nice song, CM.

  • thanks

  • moon and car - bzzzt!m :) moon significant/car no

bus - empty bus, ready but no one's there

feet - GOOD one, I just thought it was a good angle, but it's great symbolism for that!

lamp/picture/guitar - for what I was going for, partial with the guitar... once again good symbolic eye.

clock - was used to tie a time in with apt across street with lights.

  • Thanks :)

  • Wow....beautiful song! Love it!

  • Thanks

  • Dude that was nice. Can't wait to hear a re-recorded version.

  • thanks

  • Hey, I liked it....

  • Hey! Thanks! :)

  • I think about symbolism all the while, shooting a video like this. I filled the video I made 6 months ago for Zipster's "Just To Be You" with symbolism no-one got. I DID get email asking why I'd put a suit on and go barefoot! DOH!

The most important symbol to me in this video is the drawing at the end, I don't expect any of you to get that. The rest are corny and mostly obvious.

  • scene clues: -moon (there and gone) -empty bus (we covered that) -elevator and "7" (we covered that) -light/lamp (covered) -photo on wall -guitar (shot angle) -left hand (should be a REALLY obvious one) -windows with open shades -lights in apt bldg at 4:30ish AM -moon returns in the end
  • My comment is gone. :(

I like your song a lot, Christopher.

  • Thanks... you should see my vid about the comment section!

  • Love it, Christopher!

  • Thanks

  • 5 stars to wish upon Chris, favored, cherished. Starry Night lamp shade pattern. Hmmm, don't do anything rash my boy.

  • Haha... Thanks

  • I like to see your vlogs...but I really enjoy when you post videos like this one. 5*

  • Thanks! :)

  • You're favored.

  • Wow! Thanks!

  • In case anyone hasn't noticed its time to congratulate Chris on 2000+ well deserved Subs :)

  • Thanks :)

  • Very beautiful, moving! The video is too dark for me to see much, though.

  • Ironic comment, with your username being "Illuminatta." :)

  • The empty bus; she didn't show or maybe you just wish she would. The elevator button; 777 refference?? The lamp, Leaving a candle burning for someone?? Great song btw. Peace

  • bus - CLOSE. Close enough... not for anyone "not showing," it's just symbolizing the "readiness" for someone who isn't there.

elevator button - not NYC, but good call on the button number....

    lamp - bingbingbingbing! got it

  • Well I thought it was a mushy and sentimental and for those reasons I really liked it! I liked the symbolism of pressing the elevator button to move to a new level ;

  • bingbingbingbingbing!

OK... what else in the elevator (cheesey one)?

  • ok, the index finger pointing to the illuminated circular button is a reference to ET pointing to the moon in the 'phone home' sequence vis-a-vis that's where his heart his; home is where the heart is. Also 7th heaven and lucky 7 ?

  • ET? WTF? :)

OK, you got the "lucky 7" reference! bingbingbingbing!

Told ya that one was cheesey

  • ah...symbolism. got it. my reaction was more along the lines of "why the hell is he going to the seventh floor??? Unless a lovely lullaby recipient awaits there...you holding out on me, Mast?"

  • No... you already know WAY too much about me though :)

  • Beautiful, Christopher. Nicely done. :-)

  • Thanks :)

  • I liked (quite a nice 'uncomplicated sounding' nature to it) - something now, I never realized SF was a city that still had a trolleybus system!

  • The black and white is the symbolism I see - the light and the dark; the good times and bad; time passing (the clock) and the present.. I need a drink now... LOL

  • bingbingbingbing! Good call on the black and white!

  • love the guitar. very nice and calming. as for your vocals, they *are* good... but just not as smooth as i'm sure even *you* had wanted. am i right or am i wrong about that? but it was VERY good though. loved the lyrics. I so wanna hear this when you re-do it

  • Thanks :) It'll be a while before I redo it.

  • You don't know how many days and hours I've cursed you and will go on cursing you because EVERY time I hear it, it gets stuck on replay in my head for days.

    It's a GREAT song.

  • :) :) :)

  • Great video, btw. I enjoyed it.

  • thanks

  • Let's see how many people will thumbs-down this comment.

    GO!

  • Spammer! ;)

  • It's very dark for me to see, but maybe someone is in that bus you are dreaming about taking a bus to meet this person? Besides me ofcourse lol!

  • There's no-one on the bus. That's why it hauled ass through the bus stop and intersection... try again....

  • Great song, I know the feeling of wishing someone significant was there to lullaby to...

  • It's almost a "woe is me"/sappy song, but what the hell :)

  • Loved it, stirs the heartstrings

  • Thanks

  • Hey, thanks for putting it up :)

OH and BTW congrats on 2000+ subs :)

  • Umm, i'll try and use the right account next time i reply to a comment :)

  • I'm very impressed Chris, that was a really nice song and well written. Something about that little Train stood out for me. That brought out a whole lot of memories of my childhood back to me and perhaps yours? I'm still crazy about trains to this day. Great vid.

  • I was thinking, "Train? WHAT train?"

I like trains too. I think in this case what you're referring to is the Muni bus, which probably looks like a train to you because of it's trolley-like electrical apparatus :)

  • You want a symbolism clue? Look IN the bus.

  • Yeah it looked like a train to me so Ha! I was CLOSE Weeee lol

  • Hey, Mast. I've listened to this song on your myspace page any number of times and really dig it. At the moment I'm too tipsy to comment on the symbolism in the video. Follow your dreams, baby.

  • Very nice song and I love the guitar part, but your right the vocals could sound a lot better.

  • should I realy now make 3 comments listing why everything is a symbol for this and that or was this just homework? (:

    loved it mr. mast.

  • whichever you like

    thanks

  • Were can I get that.. it was so nice.. great job..

  • Beautiful! hmarty :)

  • great tune and the whole thing is filled with symbolism for a lonley night! :¬D

  • like? :)

    (thanks BTW)

  • LOL, I read symbolism for a living....OK I shall list them...

The moon; parking the car on its own; the single light;the guitar in the dark; the darkness outside your window; The hand on its own; the bustle outside your window; the clock; walking to the bed on your own; the stary night sky empty of the moon; the picture of the lone guitar player; the empty kitchen;....I mean if you look for symbolism you find it every where! :¬D

  • KOOL

  • Yes, I'm thinking the same thing...I wanna sing a lullaby everynight! :-) Beautiful song!

  • very beautiful! :)
