To all those who don't know... Frybread is the outcome of the white man's hatred for the Indians. They promised our ancestors reserved land (reservations) to live on, along with food (commodities) and shelter. They stuck our people onto land they couldn't use for farming, so it was useless. The shelter they promised were blankets swarming with smallpox. The food they gave was minimal; only flour, salt, baking soda/powder, and lard were provided. Using only what we had left, frybread was invented
