not bad fellas... I can tell its module like the one I'm with... If you search on youtube for Colorado Rail Link.. you'll see some of our stuff running on the modules. yours look good, we only have one or 2 that run anything "old" BN..otherwise we get a mix of things. Keep up the good work.
@agentM1991 I guess you could call it that. At the club, we use it to set up our trains. In the video however, I used it to stage freight trains and it looks like a classification yard.
@CSX8663 Great vids, i have been watching them for several yrs now. A good inspiration for my layout in HO scale. check us out at toledoOHindependnetrailfan @ photo bucket we are a independent rail fan group. No foamers, self important idiots, wanna get pics into mag jerks, no selling DVDs, I also give away HO scale weekely to poor working class and unioin heros and military. Last week gave away two GEVOS BNSF UP HO scale union poor family. god bless working class heros
@ussoldierrail If you ever comne to the toledo ohio area look us up and we will be more than happy to show you around thr ail yards and a HUGE amount of rail action. I have some greta spots that other rail fans are not allowed becuse my dad and two uncles worked for CSX and i get hooked up since we are a union family and have love for our union brothers and sisters on CSX. take care
@agentM1991 Around the 3 minute mark, the narrator states the train will stop for refueling and a crew change. As action resumes at about the 3 sixteen mark, the train is already underway again, having refueled and changed the crew. The narrator states that the dispatcher has given a clear signal to proceed. I could have shown the train from a dead stop, but at the time I posted this video, YouTube was not so generous with time allotment or video size. My files were huge back then. Sorry.
@agentM1991 There are actually 2 layouts featured. Layout #1 (time lapse 0:34 to 3:15) is the old River City Modelers layout that has been demolished. They lost their lease in 2009. They are now building a new layout at a new location. Layout #2 is a modular type belonging to the Inland Northwest Society of HO Modular Engineers (INSHOME) and is still at it's current location in an old strip mall toy store. Neither has been featured in Model Railroader mag. They are both in Spokane Washington.
@WestOkieRailroadVids The club lost their lease to that particular building and tore down the layout and threw it away. They were able to salvage several buildings but that's it. Hammers, saws, and brute force were used so yeah, demolished.
whats the wait in minutes between trains running on the same line? and whats the size of this club layout? it seems really large. I love these video series!! they are very inspiring!
@conrailbuff Since both layouts use DCC, you can run trains right on each others tail. Both are/were quite large and could handle prototype sized trains of 100+ cars if the operator chooses. See some of my other model train vids for some fairly long trains. ;o)
P.S. sorry about the delayed reply - I get so many emails it's hard to keep up sometimes.
It's actually double track at that location and the signal is protecting the other track. I was wondering when someone was going to comment on that - lol
When I went to work for the BN in 1990, they were just starting to phase out cabooses on the trains and they were smack dab in the middle of rebuilding 125 of them at the WFE shops here in Spokane. The early "freds" were being used at this time - these were not equipped with the "emergency brake" feature that is now standard on all of them (freds).
Wow, Great Train Action, Thanks! I see you also have a High Nose B&O GP9. Like I said below, leave the Road Freights for a wee while and maybe do a switch run video with the GP-9 and your great looking MP's and SW's. Please and thank you, Kevin.
I have way more cars for it. I just wanted to make this interesting to view. Not everyone wants to watch a long train go by several times. Sorry. Some of my other vids have very long trains in them.
it's so great that you guys are sharing cars through-out the entire US like the real railroads, i would do something like it, but my layout is to small, the train clubs isn't though. If you guys want a car or two from me, let me know, i got plenty, and I would love to be part of this hit you created.
This nice. I have a SD-70 ace and a SD-70mac2 made out of stainless steel! they have functional doors and a functional engine, fuel tanks that work, horns that blow, interiors that work, air hosses that function and 100 coal cars made out of brass and gold, 200 grain hoppers made out of silver and platninum, 95 tank cars out of bronze, 200 well cars from granite, 34 box cars from stone and if you took the time to read this you have just wasted your time!
I stopped reading after the second sentence, but then again I could have read through the whole thing. Which reminds me of a lesson that I learned a long time ago. When corresponding with person or persons unknown, it is always a good thing to try to read between the lines to see if you can gain any insight as to what the underlying meaning truly is. It can be said that once this is discovered, a person can then determine the best and most positive way to respond and take the time to come up wit
EMD 9003 and BN 8300-8301-8302 are all Proto 2000 (8301 was a renumber before the Athearn release). BN 6321, 8090, 8097, & 8143 are all Athearn RTR. LMX 8507 & 8554 are Walthers trainline.
Very nice! Love the angles! I may join up for something to do over the summer now that school is over. I have a few locomotives I need to finish if I do.
