Hmm another crossfit exercise that confirms my usual suspicion about how crossfit is intended to work. Unlike normal skipping the jumper cannot complete the exercise with a vertical posture so he/she has to keep lifting their knees up. This interrupts the normal breathing pattern and the athlete quickly starts to hyperventilate. CO2 levels drop, vasoconstriction sets in, eventually rhaebdo will send you to the hostile or kill you. Lucky for you the workouts are quick.
Yes, he can do double unders but he still over pikes toward the front in my opinion. I recommend checking out the site double under training dotcom for a complete training program that covers all aspects for the double under in detail. @w1shEX since when does taking a second to find a suitable surface to jump on cost 10K. I was just speaking from my own experience. Jumping on concrete rattles your ankles and knees if your doing 30 minutes of skipping as I do when in training, and double unders are hardest cos more impact. Personally I get sore. Even if you dont get sore its not good long term.
These ARE DOUBLE UNDERS, for those that criticize his style can't even probably do ONE REGULAR, much less SPELL! And where else are you supposed to do DU's, on GRASS??? MORONS!!
@1988acid exactly, he needs to minimize that and try to use his calves more. your menisci can only absorb so much before they start to tear and/or "erase" away.
I most is 12 so far, grr so frustrating when it comes to a crossfit workout and everyone is flogging out 30 or 40 and your doing 3 or 4 at a time. One day.
2 mins? these are tiring because you have to jump higher than you would skipping normally to allow the rope to make it twice. i have no idea how long ive gone for :S.
dang, i thought my double jump was cute. i looked like a flogged monk after doing this. guess i'll try the carnegie hall method...practice, practice practice.
@Beatbyawhiteboy Keep it up man. I've been jump roping for a bout a month or so. I could do maybe ONE double under, certainly not 3 in a row. I'm just now getting to where I can do multiples of 20. One huge benefit I've noticed from jumping rope is that my vertical has *greatly* increased.
hey 2 minutes nonstop ey? i'll get there soon enough. thanks for the video. I've been jumping rope for about a month and a half now. good work out ad getting better each day.

Deos the secret to double unders lie in increasing the speed of the rope or increasing the height of the jumps, or both?
