  • BAG BUG BAG BUG BAG BUG BAG....!!!

    i never finish this game

  • Comment removed

  • Hmmm.... I'll just watch the movie.

  • they say its sucks

cus on that time there wasn't pro players

  • It always seemed kinda pointless to have to go through all the effort of beating up a biker gang, and their leather clad boss, to get the leathers, as in the movie when your character already has them on. Bar the irony of the need for kids censoring in these bloody games.

  • Lol and I always thought the intro music was scary as hell x)

  • i loved this game back in the day...

  • hahaha great vid i loved this game :D

  • This was one of my childhood games :_)

  • 13 T-800's disliked the video.

  • Arny should be naked on the first stage XD.

Meh, the game was so-so. Had good moment with it as a kid though. Never passed the motorcycle stage, lol!

  • jump them bullets! lol yeehaw!

  • @poster12345678 More importantly, how can humans kill the Terminator with their bare fists?

  • I could never get past the first level back then, now I can hardly get past the 4th.

  • DAMN this game was hard. i loved this game to bits tho

  • The punching sound effects for this game are extremely awful.

why does the terminator even NEED to punch that many times to kill human opponents??

  • I seriously thought the menu music was scary as a kid O_O

  • lol i thought he was a terminator. its takes like 6 punches for him to kill a human! xD

  • hasta la vista,baby¡¡¡¡

    jajaja

  • I like this game one of the only LJN that is ok.

    The soundtrack roocks

  • ROFL i remeber the sound at 1:10 fucking epic :)

  • sounds like the music from MC kids , I dunno, the same style you know?

  • i used to love this game

  • i could never pass level 2 lol

  • @SavStatus12 same here dude

  • @SavStatus12 same here haha

  • great game, use to scare me as a kid lol

  • 3 months of allowance down the fucking shitter. kids today have it so easy with video reviews and downloading demos from their couch. back in the day, the only logic we had was....oh hey that box looks cool, i'll take it!

  • I liked this game...

It was difficult to complete it for me, but it was fun.

  • Wow this takes me back to when I was 10! These games may be repetitive, but that's the beauty of them. If you can't be consistently good, you're not going to win!

  • Damn, I'd forgotten how creepy the music in this game was ! AWESOME !!!! Used to play this when I was a kid ^^

  • i loved this game it was one of my favs

  • The noise is like *BFF BFF BFF BFF*

  • I just bought this game...ugh....It's hard for all the wrong reasons. Are there any continues? game genie codes? anyone?

  • my least favorite part of the enitre game as a kid is the hospital scene. U cant kill the ppl, you have to shoot them in the nees. Lol i kept forgetting, but they did it like the movie "I swear not to kill..."

  • o my god this brings back memories!!!! i didnt think id ever see this again! LOL i could never do the motorcycle part i kept gettin killed when i tried to get through the gates! lol

  • oohh... i can remember playing the level which plays in the canal :)

wish i could run it on win 7 :(

    5* :)

  • You can, with a NES emulator

  • 6:33-6:39 lold

  • i can never forget this great game

  • did anyone ever complete this game? i only ever got to the steel mill and couldnt get past the first part!

  • I finished this game on an NES, yeah. It wasn't bad!

  • Sweet game and movie! I definately could NOT pull this off! Well, maybe with ALOT of practice!!

  • this game was awesome so where are the folins.best version out of them all.

  • This game and Spider-Man for the NES are the only 2 good games LJN published. All other of their games suck.

This game is underrated. I first played it in 2005, and even though I'm not a retro gamer, I enjoyed it even though it was so simple compared to modern 3D games. Why? Because it's fun. It's fast paced, has nice graphics for the NES, but most importantly it has AWESOME soundtrack. To me it sounds much better at the PAL speed, though (probably because I first played it at that speed).

  • I think Wolverine is also not that bad, only really challenging.

  • @CleetusSilversurfer

LJN published both Wolverine and T2 for the NES.

Software Creations developed both games since the jumping mechanics are a tad bit the same.

    -kidThunder

  • never got past the motorcycle stage, the controls for that were a bit odd and having to dodge wrecked cars, boxes and shooting down the gate and going into them dead center, while shoting to your back to keep the truck at bay,

christ on a stick, i could probably do it with enough practice, but i have ZERO patience with this game.

to anyone who hasnt played it for yourselves, you have no clue how lucky you are.

  • sorry but u must be suck :D it was hard but not very man... i plaid it 10 years a go or more i was 12-13 years and finsihed it

  • lol I thought I was the only one this whole time

I liked this game as a kid but I could never get past the motorcycle part either like you said I could probably do it with enough practice but didn't have the patience. Also on the NES you couldn't save so you had to start all over and i just couldn't do it lol

  • To be correct, this game is developed by Software Creations. The music is made by the Follin brothers.

    Nice speedrun. :D

  • I double checked online and GameFAQs lists the developer as LJN, whereas MobyGames correctly lists Software Creations. Thanks for the clarification!

  • Wikipedia says software creations for the developer, and the music style is tipically "Follinish".

  • And if this was programmed by LJN,they could even do a crappier job, just watch x-men for example.

  • The MegaUpload link is no good. It downloads the Terminator 1 playthrough...

  • You're quite right - thanks for noticing, I'll update the description with the correct link!

  • Thanks man!

  • i remember playing this game when i was like 11. couldn't get passed the first boss. yep, it certainly sucked ass back then, and still to this day.

  • I remember as a kid. I couldn't pass that part with the motorcycle. It was too fuckin' fast!

  • lol the motorbike pissed me so badly

  • AVGN WHERE ARE YOU!?!

  • I'm with you! I would love to see him playing this and giving his opinion.

  • he just did it

  • this is certainly exponentially better than the first terminator game he reviewed, but i'm sure he'll still find plenty of flaws with it.

  • can't wait till AVGN reviews this game

  • @WilliamG1216 He reviewed it, and it was cool! LJN logo--> little rainbow of death LOL

  • A damn good game. :-) Great mastering of level 2, that level is very hard, at least for me.

  • godDAMN. You must be the only guy other than me to love this game. I STILL play this game from time to time on an emulator. No save states, of course. Played this way too often to need them. ;)

BTW, the music in this game is fucking great. No ToOnEy MeLoDyZ like other 8 bit shits, but provides nice atmosphere throughout the game. (especially the Hospital, lvl 3)

  • @ inuyashaspet: I didn't own this game when I was young, however I got it cheap from a flea market not long ago. The visuals look great and well sized, the music isn't something you would call "songs", it has more of a ambience feel and fits the mood of the background and story very well. And the gameplay is very versatilie with interesting objectives. Too bad the game is known to be hated due to the fact it was developed and released by LJN. :-(

  • Another comrade! Glad to hear you enjoyed the game, even though you weren't young to make you super impressionable! I had this when I was a kid, and everything would trip me out a lot back then. I still remember when I beat the T-1000, my pulse was POUNDING (barely made it with a spare life jumping over all the damn "lava" pits), and the resolution was a really depressing ending. That bit stuck with me until even now.

It really is a shame about the LJN bit. Have you seen the AVGN review? Ugh...

  • I've seen the review. There were some things that are a bit annoying like Stage 1 which gets a bit boring but the rest weren't really big issues. Anyway I just watch those movies for a laugh and not to learn from those. :-)

  • Ive also seen the review. I think he made the game looks worse than it actually was. Sure some things are bad but as a kid i enjoyed playing it and still play it sometimes.

  • have to admit the graphics werent too bad for its time

  • i only could beat the game with game genie cheat codes.

  • Besides the music and having codes I say in those areas it's better than The Terminator on NES however everything else about the game is fucking ridiculous I mean why does T-101 have to use his fist to get through most of the levels though there is a level where you must use a gun as even how disappointing the last boss on the first game was in this game T-1000 must be beaten to what killed him in the movie now Wolverine with Sabretooth you are basically are doing the same thing.

  • AVGN!

  • soon lol

  • This game was so damn HARD!!

  • ? I found it rather easy

  • Yes, i had the game and it was horrible hard i never did the second part with the motorad

  • Ah! Another one of LJN's blunders

  • it's funny how you can get hurt by being beaten in this game. In the movies he was shot, lost body parts, exploded in a truck etc.

  • thanks for posting, as a kid i never got passed the 2nd stage. lol.

  • you and me both

  • Love this beat. Especially when it breaks down. lol

  • old schooool :)

  • i loved that days of that

  • hell yeah i still havent beat it

  • i use to have this game, i beat it all the time, i use to luv playing this game

  • somebody beat this game legit!?

Man good job. THAT'S skill right there.

  • Thank you, Luigi84289!

WOW! I never expected this run to get this kind of a response from people, the number of views is absolutely mind boggling! Must be because of the classic movie that it's based on :).

  • Yup and this game is also hard as hell too. ;)

  • Well, the motorcycle and factory levels can definitely make or break a player's game, Luigi84289 . Other than that, the game isn't that brutal though.

Have you ever played Ikari Warriors for the NES? Now that game is hard as hell!

  • Well it's more of a realistic thing for me. Takes too many hits for arnold to kill anything. Although I agree Ikari Warriors is insanely hard. Prob. as hard as the arcade super contra. I believe though that's they're direct arcade ports if I'm not mistaken. That might be why those games are so hard.

  • Yeah, that's true, especially during the opening level, I mean, he's supposed to be "The Terminator"! The first level should draw the player into the game and if I hadn't been a fan of the movie, I would have most likely never bothered with it.

That is also one of the reasons why Ikari Warriors fails on so many levels.

The player(s) should have at least been given an infinite amount of continues, in order to compensate for the insane difficulty level, as you mentioned.

  • Yeah it's funny cuz in almost all of the original arcade versions of arcade nes ports you can just put another quarter in and keep on playin'. Never got why the nes versions didn't at least all have infinite continues since they are "arcade" ports hence they're made to be straight up near impossible and kill the player.

  • True that!

Some arcade ports actually got it right though, such as Ghosts 'N Goblins, Guerrilla War, Gun.Smoke and P.O.W. Prisoners of War, to name a few.

  • yeah I love gunsmoke and G and G. Great fun.

  • Cool, I find Gun.Smoke to be pretty fun as well! But with Ghosts 'N Goblins, not so much. It's pretty evil at times, especially when having to finish the game twice in a row for the good ending! :)

  • anyone know the name of the theme song from terminator?

  • terminator 2 - i wait. google sumthin like that

  • knock me in icq 428556768 i'll give if u wanna.

  • huh?

  • i mean write me in icq(sorry for my french XDXDXD). i can give you that track

  • what's icq? and i already have it. i just want the title of the song.

  • ah. ok - dunno artist but name of track is "i wait"

  • Damn this game was hard to play.. I could never manage to finish the motorcycle stage. What memories...

  • short game but the best version of T2 games

  • hey did u guys ever get this problem with this game. I forgot what level but its when the liquid terminator somes out and i tyed fighting him then all of a sudden it froze on me. Wondering if it's happened to anybody else.

  • Who is the enemie at the end of the first level

He dosn't acting in the movie.

  • wheres the gun he got off the guy from the bar? lol

  • it was my first nes game, love it

  • i played this game 12 years ago. but still i would like to play it.

  • wow the music is so sick, to think this is pretty old

wow i love old nes tunes

    they r so gangsta

  • The music reminds me a lot of Battletoads, it has the same style.

  • 07:02 - cool track!

  • wanna get it? i can give

  • Ok, send it to me ^^

  • yes, please :)

  • i got this game on mi NES and it doesnt works so fast than this

  • LOL only hurt or disable them with a mini gun?????

  • After More Than 10 Years This Games Music Still Goes On In My Fuckin Head!

  • i love this game back in the day

  • ahhhh maaan this brings back memories! wicked tunes hahaha

  • they don't make game's like this anymore.

  • theres a lot of things they dont make like they used to

  • terminator game

  • The music is still awesome as hell

  • Thanks to everyone who has left 5 star ratings, and for the positive comments!

  • this game has a creepy intro

  • This was one of the hardest games I've ever played in my life. Still haven't beaten it to this day.

  • Me too! I got it in 1992 and still can't do it. Fuck this game!! LOL!!

  • I used to have this. The first two levels were the best ones.

I always thought the boss at the end of the first level looks like Terry Nutkins.

1:10 To do that bit without being attacked, you need to crouch on the truck's step and punch. It takes awhile for them to die but it works.

I always thought the boss at the end of the first level looks like Terry Nutkins.

  • i would rather play this game anyday than the version released for the snes. still stitting on my shelf and i still cant beat it.

  • i was just a kid when i had this and i never got past the second level where u was riding the motorcycle but the sound effects bring back memories

  • brings back memorys

  • I used to have this game

  • this was the best version of the game

  • he required boots and clothes at the bar? wasnt he clothed when you started playing him?

  • haha imagine if the game designers had him fight a bunch of bikers naked hahaha

  • i believe its because they couldnt allow nudity in a game aimed at kids so they sort of had to "cheat" the clothes on. besides the fuckin ESRB didnt exist back then, and i sure as hell wish they didnt today

  • The ESRB is what makes M rated games possible.

Before music was labled "Parental advisory" it was edited and censored to the decency standards of the general public. Without the ESRB, games would be the same way.

Because of game ratings, publishers can say "If it's too violent don't buy it." They're free to make games the way they want.

  • unfortunatly since theyve become bigger pussies over the years, now their taking all the good stuff out of games, take manhunt 2 for example

  • Yeah you're right. That was more a case of retailers refusing to carry it, then consoles refusing to release it(cuz nobody would be able to buy it). But I see your point.

  • and i guess the phrase "keep out of reach of children" no longer exists

  • The hospital level, for me, was the best part. Haven't played it in awhile, but I thought you could get one-hit-kills by jumping on the bikers from atop the trucks.

  • You're probably right about being able to jump down on the bikers for one-hit-kills, ComCodex. I just hadn't discovered that technique and that's why it isn't in the speed run.

  • this is the only decent LJN game apart from the second level its an ok game.

  • This would be a great game for the Angry Nintendo Nerd!

  • LOL i remember this game, i got annoyed on the 2nd level with the bike kept crashing in2 the wall or going in2 the wrong tunnel, but thing is, is the main character arnny? if so why is he smaller than most enemies in this, and the first boss wasnt that big in the film LOL

  • Thanks a bunch! This speed run by Daniel T as well as his others, have helped to inspire me to make more of my own vids! So be sure to check out my channel to check out more of Daniel's stuff as well as my own :)

  • Excellent, that is funny, I just played the game with the emulator few days ago and I finished it. No speedrun for me, just having good memories ! Anyway nice job dude !

  • I am glad that you enjoyed this run, packers525, thank you for your commments!

  • Yeah doing the game twice in G & G just to finish it was gay.

  • There's nothing wrong have good memories and I still have that game with my other Nes games. lol

  • WOW this is hard

  • Oh yeah, difficult game indeed!

  • I'm glad that you enjoyed the speed run, SilentAgent58! More tough games are just around the corner.

  • This game is SOOO hard!

  • Yeah some of the sections are definitely challenging, BiGRiCeD, particularly the motorcycle stage and the final area. There are some ridiculous jumps in the factory. It took some luck and practice to beat this game without dying that's for sure. But I am sure that if you really wanted to do this, you actually would.

  • Thanks!

  • thanks for uploading

  • Cool !
