I've been purling this way for at least 15 years and find it by far the fastest and easiest. I get dismayed as I watch continental purl videos that claim to be quick and still wrap the yarn, taking three times longer than necessary. One video even showed someone wrapping the yarn the wrong way and ended up twisting the stitch. Thank you for your excellent video.
I just learned this exact stitch a few days ago by watching a youtube video called contenental purling Russian style.. It's slightly different that the "usual" continental purl stitch and it twists the next row. If you are using this method, no problem, just knit into the back stitch of the next row. I think it is faster and have been choosing to use this method, as long as I can knit into the back row of the next stitch it is super fast and easy to remember. I wish I had seen this method before
This is the way I purl, too, and I was looking for a video demonstrating it. A friend is learning to knit Continental and having difficulty purling. This is the easiest method that I've found. Thanks.
I replayed this 10 times and couldn't see it. Can you do this again with a larger yarn or closer up and slower. This is my favorite purl method. I need to learn it please. thanks
