What I really liked about this serie (if someone reminds) is a lot of characters actually DIED during the episodes, creators weren't pussies and had enough balls to point it.

For years i wondered where my love of metal/rock came from as no one in my family really liked it / played it.... Looking back now this work of art of a cartoon most likely was the cause. And i couldn't be happier.
Thumbs up if "Unlikely Alloys" is your favorite episode. (The one where Dr. Greenbox makes the Zed robot that the metallikats take and it turns itself into a huge ass robot that almost destoys megakat city untill T-bone goes all Indiana Jones on it)

Cartons is all about taking outlandish concepts and running with them. The moment you stop and think, they fails. That said you need some form of internal logic to keep it all togeher. Thus why 90% of todays cartons suck, either too much logic or non at all.
Who the heck clicked dislike?! Bunch of idiots. This is one of the best intros in history. The only one I can think of that tops it is Batman the Animated Series and some others like Superman the Animated Series tie it.
I thought Warner Bros did a terrible job releasing SWAT Kats DVD. They weren't interested in releasing the show on DVD for a long time. When they released it recently, they made it even more worse. Visual Quality is absolutely poor. My advice is if you have any old Cartoon Network and Boomerang recordings, then please stick with that. And also WB put same end credits for many of episodes on DVD.
i think each generation has its share of good cartoons, and swat kats was one from the nineties. Hard rock, a bad-ass jet, rockets, explosions, monnsters, and assholes reminiscent of history's dictators who get their clock cleaned by the heroes. The only problem with today's cartoons is that they keep censoring everything.

If you ask me, I believe it was very stupid of Ted Turner to order the cancellation of such a great show. He's the typical old guy who lives in his own little world, thinking that cartoons should only be for children and that they should be non violent. I say that protest against Ted Turner non stop, until he finally gives up and allows production on Swat Kats again.

Nowadays this show would undoubtedly have some shitty rap song intro. Just look at Dragon Ball GT. Dragon Ball Z had metal and guitar solos up the wing-wang, but once GT came on it was all TAKE THE GRAND TOUR GRAND TOUR! TAKE THE GRAND TOUR GRAND TOUR! GT!!!

I dont know why he assumed kids would go off killing each other because of this, there arent even actions done on this show physically possible for a kid to copy (unless they had access to a jetplane )

He doesn't understand that action cartoons are only used to entertain kids, not to turn them into murders or terrorists. It's ironic of what he did, considering the fact that he himself actually approved the show when the first season was shown.

I thought the 90's was when alternative rock was popular and yet they still put heavy metal music in the intro.Just goes to show you that heavy metal is the only genre of music that should be in action cartoons and movies.Just imagine how terrible this intro would have sounded if they put alt. rock in it.

Speaking of HM and cartoons, did you ever see the animated movie Heavy Metal on TBS in the early 90's like i did when i was 12? that was wickedly cool thanks to me reading my TV guide and watching it on friday and saturday nights along with Vampire Hunter D, Robot Carnival, American Pop and Rock and Rule. This cartoons had balls, good animation, good plot and good music. Now 90% of cartoons sucks (I must admit there are some good new cartoons though).
Mostly thanks to concerned parents, damn concerned parents "Baaaaaw too much violence for mah chiildruuunz!" they even censored and raped old classics with their censorship, pure fag0try. Well CN, Nick and Discovery Kids. I don't want my kids watching your new stuff, I don't mind if my kids are gay. But I don't want them to be baaawing fagg0ts.

Cartons is all about taking outlandish concepts and running with them. The moment you stop and think, they fails. That said you need some form of internal logic to keep it all togeher. Thus why 90% of todays cartons suck, either too much logic or non at all.

I thought Warner Bros did a terrible job releasing SWAT Kats DVD. They weren't interested in releasing the show on DVD for a long time. When they released it recently, they made it even more worse. Visual Quality is absolutely poor. My advice is if you have any old Cartoon Network and Boomerang recordings, then please stick with that. And also WB put same end credits for many of episodes on DVD.

i think each generation has its share of good cartoons, and swat kats was one from the nineties. Hard rock, a bad-ass jet, rockets, explosions, monnsters, and assholes reminiscent of history's dictators who get their clock cleaned by the heroes. The only problem with today's cartoons is that they keep censoring everything.
