  • Obama opted out of a social event that has nothing to do with the prayer mentioned in The Bible. In fact, Press correctly points out, it's to be done in secret. However, this "prayer event" does mean something to many who were expecting it. And they feel cheated. I think a well-thought out explanation (not apology) might have helped put out some fires.
