TOTAL JUNK. But that won't stop many of you from buying it! If you think YUDU is screen printing, then I have some sulphuric acid based facial cleanser that you will LOVE! the non printers who market this crap are giddy at your ignorance. AND richer for it. Barnum was right, Sucker born every minute.
bunch of hyped market CRAP. Gives real screen printing a bad name. Yudu is for the ignorant 'crafty types' who believe everything can come in one box.
I build and sell Sp equipment. I would never offer a thing to anybody if I had only the marketeers approach to SP that Yudu takes for profits...at YOUR expense. I would be ashamed to provide what they provide and call it 'screen printing equipment'. Take any element of the Yudu(screen, squeegee, platen...etc)and they have dropped the ball at EVERY step! I wish you were at my house right now, I would be very happy to show you how to do it faster; cheaper , with better results and more FUN.
This is nothing more than a toy! It is more marketing hype than screen print reality. WHY would you pay more to print with a YUDU than it costs to do it the way REAL screen printers so it? See my 'all about Screen printing' videos and you will soon know the reality. Get pro advice mot the marketeer hype. Also see the video: 'youtees vs Yudu Screen printing' here on youtube.
I had it for a short time..it's fun for beginners but i got me a heat press..the reason i upgraded is because i had so many customers in needed something faster..but the yudu is good to have also.
Can anyone tell me an alternative to heatsetting with an iron? I haven't got an iron, and I'm just about to finish printing a few shirts. I do have a hair dryer, etc. But no iron. I'd appreciate any help, but prefer someone who knows for sure...
Consumes a great deal of time, but if you have time, patience, the ability to stay calm under heavy frustration, then you should be fine. I charge $2.99 for 1 color prints including the shirt and all cost, more affordable than this $300.00 machine.
This is not worth buying you guys...I wish i didn't waste my money on this crap...I should've gotten me the real silkscreen press...the screen is weak..its so loose
I need to know can I use this product to start a graphic apparel business (t-shirts and totes, etc..), or will I need to invest in something more detailed?
so this is better than using a cut out stencil and spray paint / brush ........becaaaause??? .......u likes to pay hundreds for an over-glorified stencil
One of the biggest complaints for the Yudu is the cost of the emulsion sheets. I get them for dirt cheap in 10 packs from EMULSIONSHEETSdotCOM, or you can get them from STORESdotEBAYdotCOM/BCN. They are the same emulsion sheets that come with the Yudu machine and they only cost around 22 dollars for a whole 10 pack! It's great!
Its $33 just to try it for 30 days, which isn't refundable if you choose to return it, then if you wish to keep the product you pay about $200- $250 more!
The Yudu is far from easy and simple. It isn't for the impatient or clumsy and requires some creativity along with good hand to eye coordination.
I can do the same thing with some stiff photo paper, photoshop, an X-acto knife, some cardboard, and spraypaint. It's an over-glorified, over-complicated stencil. What a piece of crap.
It's really funny how People attempt to make this look like an effortless project! In reallity the all of the steps that everyone is going to have problems with, are omitted. Trueth be told, this is a trial and error device, and if you have the erge to get this yudu, please note that you will need many, many, many emulsion sheets. There will numerous mess ups..
the yudu is cool..for a while.. I mean the only thing I dont like from it is that the fact that you always gotta put the shirt on the platten then take of shirt of the platten after a while it sucks especially if you running alot of shirts... Im only keeping it for the exportured light.. but I now upgraded into a ryonet 4 color press way better.. but love to the yudu ..it got me started..!! peace
I have a Yudu Screen Printer for sale. Used only 3 times..It comes with 2 screens and extra ink...name an offer an its yours....will not last...im located in NJ
It would have been better if he had used the same image for the entire demo. I was confused at first when it went from "I {heart} scrapbooking" to a crown.

I have a REAL screen press and I have been screenprinting for 15 years. THIS is NOT impressive! It's a rip off!
Well.. unless you don't care.. that is to say, you can't start a t-shirt company with this.
