When I cook the hearts, I wait until they are almost done on the last side and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on them and let it melt and stick to the hearts and it adds flavor and texture.
That tasted fantastic! it''s the first time i've ever cooked or eaten an artichoke. the juice from the olives and tomatoes mingling together with the garlic and thyme. just wow. and the artichioke - what a lovely delicate flavour. thank you for the recipe!
these old school caucasians have more southern soulfulness and heartiness in thier cooking really cant stand these culiniary eye treats that leave me hungry after an hour
cook with heart make the foods taste more delicious..

I do not like artichokes that much, they are just hard to find here in our country.

Looks interesting...I would probably use white wine instead of water though

@ninarus80
Yeah, white wine sounds like a good option. I'd probably go that route.

And round out the meal with a bowl of homemade tomato soup!!! Which I think I will make right now on our first rainy day!

Horrible camera work; I wanna see the food, not the host from 15 feet away! Geez...

I've never cut or cooked an artichoke, after you cut the baby artichokes in half is there a choke to remove like in the big ones?
It looks like such a delicious dish! :)
