  • put a 12v batt. starter would have turned faster

  • That is awesome mate, shows how well things were built back then

  • You sir are a very good speaker, and the car seems in excellent shape, Maybe a little touch up on the body here and there, some new paint, what shape is the interior in? I'd bet in pretty fair shape considering how well the exterior looked. Good video to and thanx for posting this...even though I am viewing it 2 years later, its still a great video.

  • That is so awesome!

  • Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I start the car and run it around the yard a little every now and then. Haven't done much else yet. A project for the future. Be assured it's still as original as I found it and shown here...and will stay that way!

  • What a nice car and it runs so good! You got a wonderful deal! It's nearly two years later--what have you done to it? I hope you kept it just like it was!

  • If its rust-free and the engine runs, why restore it??

  • great job...excellent vid, good luck w/the restoration........

  • this guy is selling me a 1947 stylemaster for 1100 and its a two door has an engine the grill a little damage do you think its worth it?

  • Wow, rare to find a well filmed and done video, to many low quality cell phone videos clogging up youtube

  • Jeez man- I'd hate to think how hot your battery cables got after that epic cranking session!! lol.

  • me and my uncle just bought one..and I LOVE IT...we only paid 350 bucks for it and it looks exactly like this one

  • very beautiful resurrection, great to see that ! I got 2 constructive remarks to make: 1. you should not let the starter cranking that long, not very good for it, especially after 40 years.

    2. you rev the engine way too high and hard for a first run after a so long time, you should have let it idle for 20-30 minutes, to do a kinda break in. You risked to destroy the piston rings by reving the engine, which would have scrached the cylinders, which could have caused a lot of damage.

    I subscribed:)

  • put a slug of gas down the carb to prime it first next time it will start faster....good luck with it

  • wow you should probebly wash it down so itll shine again!!! you should maybe find a way to close the hood all the way though its probebly hard to see over it right? im subscibing!!!!

  • Nice car! good find!! I hope to see it again with fresh paint and a good cleaning
