Just a while ago I made a comment about being subscribed to him, on one of your other vids, and now I'm thinking it may come across as me having any kind of a clue as to the controversial nature of his 'fandom'. it doesnt matter how much or how little i agree with what you say, because to me, its much healthier and more fulfilling to simply agree/disagree with individual statements or opinions, rather than try to agree with everything another person believes. It's like with music, its better to like individual songs than bands, as that way you won't find yourself feeling let down or acting like a hypocrite. dunno if that makes sense
Some people don´t support you because they don´t agree with you and you think that´s bad. Why would anyone support someone they don´t agree with. I think polite disargeement is the most positive of options and perhaps supporting your freedom to voice your opinion. But you don´t support these people because they do something you don´t agree with?

I always wondered why people suddenly despised Brett b/c he didn't give credit for that poem. Who cares? The topics are what were interesting. The Bible, religion and religio-political issues are the only thing that interested me about his work. He's a great iconoclast and really got things going. It was obvious that he CARED about these important issues. We were LUCKY to have such a Bible expert. I learned so much from him. People need someone to point their feeble finger at.

Anger was not well made. I understand the point that BK was trying to make, but he could have made the same point without all the insults. If you disguise a valid point in a rant filled with insults then your audience is going to react to the insults and fail to see the point. That is, obviously what happened in the case of the anger video.
People did not turn on Brettkeane over one disagreement. He lied over and over again, and not just about himself but other people. Even Fakesagan admits that. You cannot forgive someone if they wont admit their wrongdoing. He got caught lying, he tried to cover it up by accusing others, he never admitted it, or apologized. He's finished. To be forgiven, you have to be sorry. Not only is he unrepentant, he is smug.
Why are we worried about anti-theist lovers of hate who are followers rather than thinkers? That is where theism and anti-theism seem the same - they attract followers. An ideal to latch onto. Atheism doesn't have that baggage because it's the same as ateapotism or afairyism or agoblinism. I can believe or not believe in abortion, Marxism or the death penalty and be an atheist in every case.
It seems to me that we're talking about anti-theists, not atheists. Atheist is a term that shouldn't even exist. When Brett said "none of you represent atheism" I think he was speaking more truth that he realised. I don't beleive in Santa but I don't make videos about it. I, like him and you, believe we should stick to talking about the issues and refuting theist claims and trying to spark some clarity and interest in skepticism and science.

Religiosity is often an unfortunate outlet for the worst in human nature, but it is by no means the only thing which brings out the worst in us. Jealousy, anger, and hatred are not the inventions of religion, they're part of human nature and cannot be stamped out by reason.
Paul's point was irrelevant, because of the subject matter. If Paul stuck with Dendrophilian affair, he would have had a legitimate point. Brett Keane is not a martyr or an innocent victim over his different ideas, belief systems or his interpretation of atheism.

My enjoyment has more to do with the panache with which you express yourself than what you're actually saying (although you often raise some interesting points). For example, on one of Harddrive's videos (while he was in conflict with Judelicious), I posted a comment mentioning how people take Youtube too seriously, and suddenly EUL says that me having "bling loyalty to some idiots" is sure to get me on "bad terms" with the "atheist community". Basically threatening me for not insulting harddrive. I looked at that and thought, what is this, the fucking MAFIA?
That's actually what it's starting to look like. They want to "come together as a community" or more like a family. I got on bad terms with them for merely pointing out that atheists already ARE a community.
It depends on what the two people disagree on for me. If it's something like politics or religion, then I won't turn on them (or away from them). However, if a person I respect says that he likes to rape little kids (I'm not targeting dendrophiliac here, because I know he doesn't do this, I'm just using this as an example), then yes I will turn on them.

pt3 now i passed on info and the vid of dendro'(hi i'm god)or the link to it or the modestagnostics vid to it just because i thought the idea interesting. of course it was up to you or those i mentioned it to thought it a good idea or for them to join in on. but again it shows the inconsistency of many you tube atheiests. the video of dendros that has been questioned of late was on his channel and posted at the same time yet it seems many did not bother to look into things before hand.

I don't understand why people who lack faith in a deity expect other people of the same nature to be better people. I keep seeing disappointment in many disbelievers when they see hypocrisy in other disbelievers.
Religiosity is often an unfortunate outlet for the worst in human nature, but it is by no means the only thing which brings out the worst in us. Jealousy, anger, and hatred are not the inventions of religion, they're part of human nature and cannot be stamped out by reason.

I don't agree with a lot of what you say, but I really enjoy your videos. My enjoyment has more to do with the panache with which you express yourself than what you're actually saying (although you often raise some interesting points). Anyway, I'd rather hear an opinion I don't agree with expressed with verve and humour than have an existing opinion reinforced by some droning, dull gibbon that thinks "charisma" is a city in Portugal anyday.

One of the reasons I dislike reality T.V. is because of the pseudo drama. But hearing Brett Keane bad mouth Youtube drama is like hearing Omarosa of "The apprentice" bad mouth reality T.V. because of it's pseudo drama. The same drama she took part of and became famous from. While I agree with Brett's comments in the video, I don't believe he was sincere. I can only hope PaulsEgo is sincere.

It depends on what the two people disagree on for me. If it's something like politics or religion, then I won't turn on them (or away from them). However, if a person I respect says that he likes to rape little kids (I'm not targeting dendrophiliac here, because I know he doesn't do this, I'm just using this as an example), then yes I will turn on them.
