don't mix up chops and flies. Poland and E.Germany were part of Western block. Romania was not, the country had its own policies and USSR did not intervene in romanian internal affairs. and Afganistan is totally different story, soviets entered the country on the 3rd call from afgan government.
now, lets recall US interventions: Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, Afganistan, Iraq, Yugoslavia. those countries were directly agressed by US. and what about indirect intervention? many more.

It's a valid point that communisim is more tolerant than nazism, but only insofar as theoretical communism goes. The Soviet "communism" was a cruel dictatorship which had more in common with nazism than any notion of theoretical (or 'pure') communism.
