It's good to get in the spirit of things, but I've acted before and some of my friends have even gone semi pro, and even for them things like that can be distracting. It's not so bad for a group song, but in an exchange of spoken lines or a duet it can mess you up if people are reciting your lines. Some actors are alright with it, but I know others who find it disrespectful.
