I have an 05 Eclipse gts automatic that when you hammer on the gas there is a lttle lag before it really takes off. Is that normal?

@lkrfn1 yes, thats the computer realizing the pedal is on the floor and adjusting the gas flow. hence why automtic sucks lol

i love my 3g. it's a 2000 with a 193,000 miles on it. i'm her 4th owner. she's been through a lot.. lol. i finally got her back from a tune up because the guy dropped a washer into the valvetrain. if you've seen how to train your dragon, she's like my white fury. all white, plenty fast for my adrenaline, and just loud enough so that you here her when it's too late. nothing massive will happen to the engine or anything like that. i love that car and idk what i'll do when she shits the bed on me.

just a tip, don't put music on in the video. people like to hear the car lol. and I have a 2001 stratus r/t (same as an eclipse) and it sounds like it's not firing right when I get into the high RPMs but I know all the spark plugs are fine and my mechanic says it might be a motor mount, could that cause it to sound off?

Actually stock they are not slow at all, i have a 2001 garage kept black, like a brand new show room car and its anything but slow. Also out of the gate its just a wicked looking car, i'm 34 so i'm not looking to street race lil teeny boys, just a great realiable, awesome looking sports car. Chics don't care about that crap anyways, they laugh at it!! Most girls like trucks or harleys anyways.

you dont necessarly need a lighter flywheel. just get your stock on resurfaced and a new clutch.

hear resurfacing your flywheel isnt that good because it can become unbalanced and ruin your engine. ima just buy a new stock flywheel and clutch and be done.

yes it is. i installed it after racing a prelude. i couldnt hear my car at all! and i was so use to shifting according to the engine sound. in the end. i ended up bouncing off redline asking myself why im not making any more power, then i looked down and realized. haha.
