  • Amazing to see all those 505s having a ball.I had a 505TI 2.0litre injection auto,I wish I had it now.what a brilliant car,much missed.

  • I am please to see that this Peugeot Promo is still being enjoyed (that's me in the 00 car). What most may not know is that 00 car is the same one used in the TV ad for the 505 V6 . I still own it.

  • What happened to all the Peugeot 505 turbos in the US? I come across turbo volvo 740's quite often, and Peugeot 505's occasionally, but never a Peugeot turbo.

  • See woting don my comment just because you can't handle the facts.

What i said before is a fact.

    Peugeot flunk trough in comparison.

And you are asking where the R30's is,

heh the 505 was quite simply outclassed,

read it and weep rokkies. :P

  • Wheres all these R30s then huh ?

  • Not in this video.

  • Funte: end of discussion ? Please post proof of your assertions.

If these R30s were so great you'd see them in this video whipping everything. Maybe you could run through the video and tell us at what time the R30s ran so well, maybe we all missed them ?

  • Well it was before they were popular in europe.

I didn't say that i did not like the 505,

heh i actualy work for peugeot. ;)

I had a old 505 Turbo injection standing for fun until not so long ago.

Simply stating that it was inspired by it,

not something violently importent just a little backdraft fact.

lots of carmakers have done it . . . ^^'

  • Chris, give it a rest, I know you said your family has an old one, but Peugeots failed here because they were unreliable and nobody knew how to work on them.

  • these vid resemble secrect of speed vid where theyre focusing on audi quattro..

  • What are you talking about you fool? The Japanese most certainly didn't sell anything to Peugeot as Peugeot had Pinifarina design their cars up to the 206. Japanese cars from Toyota, Datsun, mazda etc etc all had the same generic look and took inspiration from the Americans. Europe was copied for its car design and not the other way round. Get your facts right!

  • tyu198, the 505 is based on the 504 underpinnings which debuted in 1968. Thats six years before the R30.

  • This is microsoft sam as your computers default voice.

  • 505... very poor knock off of the r30 skyline

  • European cars don't copy jap cars fool.

  • Well.

1/ Put as many HP in the 505 as the R30 Skyline, and the skyline will only see 505 rear lights at best.

2/ The 505 is all the way more reliable than any Skyline model.

3/ Compare in worldwide competitions what won Nissan, and what won Peugeot. Nissan is then out of water. They never were even able to follow the dust of a peugeot when they had to compete against! Few examples: Le Mans and Paris Dakar in the 90's.

  • Ah I forgot.

R30 Skyline was released in 1981, Peugeot 505 was released in 1979.

    Once again, who copied who?

  • @Soussmeboules

    i own a peugeot 505 '94

    i have driven a nissan skyline '91

i am really in love with my car, but despite the fact that the skyline is more powerful, it is also much more stable and agile, and in addition, it is nissan, wich is always more reliable

anyway, i wouldn't change my car for any other.. but beacause it is so comfortable!

put as many HP in the 505 as the R30 skyline, and you will crush your car very hard..

  • How? It was based on the 504 from 1968 roots, and that was a development of the 404. The 505 is still made in Africa its such a strong car.

  • i have a 505.

they are really nice cars if looked after, and moded

  • Hey buds! let me tell you that I also love the pug 505! My father had 4 different generatios of the 505 back then in the 90's. I'm from Argentina and the 505 was made until 1996 in Argentina. It was a great and reliable car.

  • My father had 2 Peugeot 505 2.0L... and he's gonna buy a 3rd one to replace the one he sold lol.

  • My dad had one. It was a wonderfull, and reliable car. He sold it with 800 000 kms!

  • Yes, this is my car!

  • 505 power
