Hi Richie, I know what you mean by the difficulty in applying some of the BarryM nail paints. They also stink a bit when wet! The smell lingers I find for a few days- not very sexy. Have you tried ELF's range - they are a bit hit and miss also, the Royal Purple though is superb for £1.50!! So like OPI in application - I am serious it's great. On the other hand some are horrendous to apply.
