@halospartan3399 Yes. You must delete that profile and start over if it's corrupt and wont load. I highly suggest taking advantage of the recent LIVE update that allows you to save game data to any USB drive. BACKUP YOUR DATA INCASE OF CORRUPTION.

Unfortunately, once a file is corrupted it is gone forever unless you backed it up on a memory card or PC.

Go to your harddrive settings on the Xbox dashboard, look for "Games" then find "Fable 2" and delete the corrupted profile.

This means you will have to start over again.

Make sure you install your game onto the HDD this time because if the game crashes while your loading off the disc, then it will corrupt your save!

you can adjust your screen size from your Xbox 360 dashboard.

Also, make sure that if your using an HD TV, there is a switch on the back of your Xbox that needs to be set to HD. (it's actually located on the cord going into the TV itself.

Install game onto HDD

Play game (with XBL connected to ensure updates are applied)

~If you have problems installing the game, clean the disc and keep trying.

the best solution to any loading problem is to clear your cache (do this from your dashoboard "memory" options on your Harddrive)

Next time you launch your Fable II, you will update with the latest version of the official Patch.

If that doesnt solve your problem, install the game on your Harddrive.

No. It only deletes temporary data which will then be reloaded once you launch the game again. (such as updates from Xbox Live)

So is there a way to resolve this issue? I've cleared my cache and that didn't work.  I tried to install the game to my HD and it only gets half way before saying the disk is dirty (it is not).

Some discs have an issue because when they were made, the comapny that pressed the discs used too much glue. If on the middle clear ring part of your disc, it looks kinda white, then that's your problem.

If the store you bought it from refuses to exchange it, the cheapest alternative is to rent a copy of the game from a rental store and swap the discs.

Thanks for the info! The disk did have a white substance on the inner ring. I returned it to the store and they replaced it. The new disk works fine.

I saw the newest DLC is discounted now so I bought it. I booted up the game...and found out my saved file was corrupted somehow. I'm so mad. My character had all keys, all Hero dolls, all gargoyles, etc.

If you are having the freezing problems like I was then I may have a solution for. Try installing the game onto your harddrive. The game will start running off the memory and not the disk which will make the game run smoother. I have yet to have anymore freezing problems since I did it.

just have the disk in and be on your dashboard. go over to where it says play Fable 2 and press "Y". It should give you an option to install the game. Then just go to your game library select play from harddrive. Just remember to have your disk in or it wont be able to verify you have a copy of the game. Same thing happened to me last night. Corrupted save file, the game freezes at the title screen and the fan on my 360 stops. I deleted the file and cleaned my disk and it started up again, but no way am I going to go through everything that I have already went through in order to try and regain everything that I lost in my attempt at trying to get 100%. 30 hours down the drain. Hell, there are quite a few folks who have had their system die entirely because of this game. Ebay time for Fable 2.

Got mine yesterday, brilliant game and if you buy it from somewhere dependable (Game and Blockbusters are two that I would reccomend) then even if you DO have a problem with it, you have a place you know will take it back. I can say that I've passed the Spire and still had no problems, a bit of lag when I collected an entire town into one place after playing the game for a few hours straight, but that's the xbox not the game. It might be possible that your xbox is done for, try it at a friends
