I personally can get a GM discount on all GM vehicles because of a family member but I would never use it on a gas sucking machine. I want 40+ mpg even if gas is $1.80 at the moment. It would be better for congress to give the money to the auto workers, rather than to give temporary assitance to the companies.

The auto companies cannot increase fuel efficiency because they are beholden to the Oil Companies who write the laws governing those matters.
