From 3:48-4:02 is pretty dang sweet, I must admit. I like the new fluidity of the characters' movements, but I do kind of miss the old, endearing style. I know a jillion people have said this, but really, NAMCO had to know bringing in new voice actors would make hardcore fans of the original ToS upset. I know I am. :/

Yup. I read on gamefaqs from a link someone sent me that Shiloh Strong wasn't even contacted about re-voicing Zelos. They all just got replaced, except Presea and Colette, and even THEIR voice acting is flat as hell.

Tara Platt (sp?) does a great Temari for Naruto, but she can't voice Raine to save her life.

I honestly think that if the voice roles were reversed for this game and the first one, we'd all think that the original actors sounded strange simply because we would be more familiar with them. I find the new voices to be perfectly fine for the most part... different, but suitable.

The reason for the changes was because Namco decided to go with non-union voice actors while the first Tos game went with unionized voice actors. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but that was their decision

You'll have to play the game to fully understand it.

I'll try explaining the basics. You'll be hearing "Ratatosk" which is Emil's (The main character) "other personality" when he's angry. He got it after taking in the Summon Spirit Ratatosk in the beginning so he could protect Marta (The girl with the flowers in her hair) as a Knight. That's really how it goes. Maybe you'll understand it once it gets towards the ending.
