well it's because the ps2 version came after the GC version when the GC version didn't sell as good as expected. With the new ps2 release they added more attacks and cutscenes :)

It kind of does because of the effects, but akashic tormet, lifts enemies higher because of the giant piller of light, while shinning bind lifts them up a little bit.

and for Divine Judgment, just in overlimit then perform Judgment..

This move is on the Japanese PS2 version only but if you must know, to do Shining Bind you must press O, X, and square together when Zelos is in red health and overlimit mode.
