  • @AALIYAHFOREVER22YOUN

    Were you listening?

"It's not about money, it's about sending a message."

  • gotham has got some fucked up criminals, but if their gasoline is cheap, than I can see why people stay there.

  • this town deserves a better class of criminal and im going to give

  • Two thing you never ever say to the joker, your crazy and your a freak

  • i wonder how he supports his adventures anyway? Blowing up a hospital can't be all that cheap.

  • whos that with the joker on top of the money!

  • @ciankeaneable Lao, asian dude

  • @ciankeaneable That's Lao. He's a corrupt accountant who worked for the Mafia. You need to actually see the movie in order to understand this.

  • are man the image at 1:50 is just awsome i definately want a poster of that

  • not all the money was there. Some was put into buying the gas and the gun.

  • WHEN WAS GAS CHEAP??????

  • "Where's the Italian"

  • i always forget that when joker set the money on fire the chinese dude is still on top the money lol

  • Well, those characteristics are what make the Joker. Most villains are greedy, which is why Joker is so unique.

  • Does he burn the asian guy on top of the money?? If he does then he's crazy...

  • 0:20

LOL and loving that slide xD

  • nice

  • Where is Joker getting cheap gasoline?

  • @NickFury182

You're comment deserves to get voted right the heck up.

  • @NickFury182 he steals it... obviously

  • @Zegstasis hm, good point

  • @NickFury182 in the fictional city of Gotham, of course.

  • money noooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • 1:43 sings: it's not about the money money money

  • i like how the joker doesnt need money to be a villian while the others do

  • coolest effin movie ever...r.i.p

  • Yeah the movie has some good lessons in it, but the kids that pretty much make a religion about the Joker on this movie just follow anything they see wayyy too easily.

  • Chechen deserved getting cut into pieces, if only for being the one who suggested to hire the Joker in the first place.

  • 1:07 what does the czech say?

  • @10razonesgh "You said you were a man of your word".

  • there's a goof here, at 0:43, the Joker is standing right in front of him pointing his gun right at his neck but in the very next shot, he is standing a few feet away from him and walks up to him when he says "they're cheap"

  • Joker just is not crazy, he's just from the Vienna School of economics ~_^ (inflation == bad)

  • i will keep the mony

  • i would have done the same thing cuz i want to see the world burn

  • @The666FreeDomFighter Amen to that brother, same here.

  • The Joker is not insane, he is free.........or maybe they are the same thing.

  • "i enjoy dynamite, gunpower and GASOLINE!.. Da da da da.." LOL

  • This is the Joker showing how committed he is to his own ideology of pure anarchism. The beauty of him torching all the cash is that it robs the mob of their true power base--money. Without their real power behind them, this allows the Joker to take over Gotham like he planned all along.

  • ANARCHY.

  • i deadacat this pasage from the book of heath , to muslim in gearal & Pastor Terry Jones at theDove World Outreach "evry thing burn's

  • now thats freedom

    money will never control him

  • "It's not about money, it's about the message"

Very few humans on this planet can say this with true authenticity....

    Is this guy crazy? Hmmmmmm

  • "and then we'll see how loyal a hungry dog really is" the best line ever

  • This is my favorite scene because at first he seems completely mental (well he is) but it stays in your head and you realize that the money doesn't matter and it would do no harm to you practicly if you did as well. Damn good job

  • major flaw in this scene. One Lao doesnt scream when he is burning with the money. Two if the mob leaders want to kill the joker all they have to do is fake like they are working for the Joker and kill him whenever they have the chance.

  • @Mikesmooth49 major flaw in your comments.

    1.Lao has his mouth covered.

2.The mob leaders are not working for the joker and never did lol.Their man worked for the Joker because the mob leaders didn't have any money to pay them.

  • @0RobinHood1 then why did the Joker say tell your men they work for me now. it was the mobbs leaders men not the jokers.

  • @Mikesmooth49 yea,at first, but since The Joker burned all the money, he was the only one that could pay them with the other money that he robbed at the start of the movie. That is why he recruited all the mobs men so easy.

  • @Mikesmooth49 I think the joker can tell if youre lying to him.

  • @Liquidsback Don't talk like one of them. You're not, even if you'd like to be.

  • Зря он сжег эту кучу денег. Лучше бы поделился.

  • great joker

    fuck money

  • This is one of my favourite scenes... he was the BEST bad guy ive ever seen

  • Why would any criminal work for the Joker if he burns MONEY?

  • @Deavi783 its his city

  • @Deavi783

the joker's crew are all insane inmates from a mental asylum

  • @SelfHatingWhite not all of his crew are insane like him but most are smart enough to know that at the end of the day he can get things done which others can't, he burns the money to show that he doesn't need money to get the things he wants, people are so obsessed with money that we have actually programmed ourselves to think that pieces of cotton are of differing values based on only the number printed on them or are worth as much as a house or food, stupid if you ask me

  • I would love to slide down money like that!

  • @roysboys102 I'll slide down a mountain of money buck naked!!!!!

  • why is that? Did you forget to wipe your ass when were taking a dump? :P

  • @apxeli oh ha ha, a poop joke? what are you, 5?

  • No, I'm 155. Can you count so far?

  • funny thing is that joker is absolutely right about everything he said about modern society

  • forget all the murders and chaos.....THIS is the most terrible thing the Joker has done in the movie, lol

  • LOL its funny the way he slides on the money how many ppl can say they did that then burnt it all

  • why exactly does the mob give joker half their money ? the money had been promised if he could take out batman but he just killed rachel for his own interests. also why the fuck would maroni's men abduct rachel just coz joker told them to ?

  • If all the rich people (the top 5 percent) burned all their money, just like mister J here, then there would be deflation, and things would be cheaper, and things would be much better for the remaining 95 percent.

This is a great service that the J man did.

  • gawd the freedom joker must feel when he can burn money like that XD

  • @levitan71

The joker doesn't give a shit about the money.

He gets pleasure from the idiotic reactions of others to him burning the money.

    That's the real joke.

  • @AntiEtc

I think it's more that, as a character, The Joker doesn't care about material possessions and social status, but rather that people understand or worship his perspective and his ideals, as twisted as they are.

These criminals are trying to soothe him with things he hates, and he sees that. And he's sick of it.

  • @AssOnAPlate187

He wants to get a message across.

He doesn't want his message worshipped.

His ideas aren't twisted at all.

They're completely logical, and he shows people who they really are.

  • @AntiEtc and AssonaPlay187

interesting comments you guys, but his behaviour isn't logical, insofar as personal values can't really be logical. What I think he shows by this, is that there is nothing in the world which money can buy, which will make him stop - he's a violent nihilist. Also though, since he apparently thinks all principles are fake, he's the only one in the world with a real principle, which is "fuck fake principles."

    The BiG JoKE

  • when you really get your mind into the mindset, jokers caveat is actually kind of comforting....were so small & insignificant. thank christ

  • oh wait it´s richard fuld

  • lol i cant help but laugh "it's not about the money it's about sending the message." Heath Ledger will always be my hero since 10 things I hate about you. Playing the JOKER just shows he is a true actor who will always be remembered and missed R.I.P Heath

  • @HORRORSHOWINC theese ''R.I.P'' make me sad he was too young i cant accept hes gone he cant

  • This both the best and worse scene of the movie.

    1. the worse because all that precious money had to burned

    2. The best scene because the joker got that squealer the slant and burned him to a crisp hahaha burn in hell gook

  • you are totally wrong. This scene is totally beyond your racist propaganda. Its about the importance of humanity over the importance of capitalism . "All you care about is money, This town deserves a better class of criminal, and I'm gonna give it to em". I would not say best scene, but definitely the most meaningful.

  • Thanks for your opinion,But I was just voicing mine. But I respect your opinion

  • @mirrorimage345 It's not the importance of humanity over capitalism, it's the joker's idea of an anarchist criminal agenda being based on chaos, not profits.

  • Comment removed

  • @mirrorimage345 I kind of see where you're going, but you may be placing external views into the movie. Joker isn't a humanitarian. The question of humanitarianism v. capitalism is another story, even assuming they're in opposition.

  • @mirrorimage345. You are posting a year before I am, so I don't know what comments you are referring to. The meaning of this scene is to set up the question of the Joker's motivation. The answer is given by Batman's butler: "Some men aren't in it for the money ... Some men just want to watch the world burn." Nothing to do with capitalism. How can his actions of burning money be any kind of triumph for humanity? He killed the man sitting on the money at the same time.

  • Comment removed

  • If you are looking for meaning in the movie, look no further than the scene with two ferries. On the prisoner ferry, the meanest looking felon talked the guard into giving him the button that would blow up the other ferry and save the prisoner ferry. Instead of pushing the button, he threw it out the window. The message is don't judge someone by the way they look, and that people with tough exteriors who have committed wrongs in the past can still put someone else's safety over their own.

  • @mirrorimage345 I think you may be looking too much into that scene. It isn't about Capitalism...

  • thats just paper lol good for starting fires.

  • I love how this movie turns the whole "anarchist" thing upside down. everyone thinks it's so respectable not to take worldly things (money, wealth, women) etc into account when deciding your behaviour. But in the Joker's case, it'd be better if he did! Some of the scariest people in history couldn't be bought.

  • How did that second "freak" come out of his mouth? >_>

  • Joker says the second "freak" to make fun of him.

  • agreed. best scene! how would u feel burning that much money

  • Ah hah. A better class of criminal. Or if you look at this in a unique enough way, maybe an actual hero? Is Batman truly the actual hero here, or when it comes down to it, is it really The Joker? o.O

  • Batman wants to reform the system that creates the misery.Joker wants to destroy it...

    What do you think?

  • @fathermocker123 Good question . . . although, is it really the good intentions, or the actions you do that bring them about? Batman doesn't kill people (on purpose anyway) but the joker bathes himself in innocent blood. It's an interesting debate.

  • In order to have this debate, you have to define "innocent".Because I think if you ask Joker,he ll tell you that there are no innocent people in this world of misery.

  • @fathermocker123

Hmm, you've got a point there. Not saying i disagree with that point, but remember that the idea of no one being innocent is entirely subjective. I suppose that when i said "innocent" i was reffering to the fact that none of them had done anything publicly horrendous or justifiably "bad." But then, you never know; amoung the dead could be abusive people, bullies, spiteful or selfish people . . . everyday criminals, the kinds you encounter all the time but cant prosecute.

  • Gasoline!!!!!!!

  • @rubendjp HELL YEAH

  • My FAVORITE SCENE!
