After listening to your Christmastime rants, I mostly agree with your POV (minus the Santa rant... sorry, but I will lie to my kids, as my parents lied to me - and they will understand the spirit of giving not through a symbolic figure, but through instruction and example).
You seem to be "anti-ranting" about arguments made by Christians, in particular. What about those who rant about public displays of the Nativity? That's been an issue in CA for the last 12 years, or so.
@Luv2Dnce4 Actually, I did an anti-rant like that something like two years ago on my other channel, vlogdriver. I honestly can't remember the whole title, it may have been something like "Athiest Evangelism," I don't know. But yeah, we had a few incidents like that, too. I haven't heard of any recently, or I may have included that one as well. Maybe next year. =)
I remember working in retail and having a similar debate with a customer to whom I wished "Happy Holidays." He stopped and asked if I was required to say that (instead of "Merry Christmas") by store policy. I told him I had no idea what the official "policy" of the store was, when it came to proper farewells; it was my own decision, but I, too, was a Christian, if that made a difference to him. We basically had to agree to disagree on that sore subject. :(
Happy Birthday to your mom! And no, that was not a 'your mom' joke.
I like to say Happy Christmas but that is because I not-so-secretly wish I was British >.>
Although, I think it would be better if we all just wished people what ever holiday we celebrate. If some one wished me a Happy Chanakah, I would just say 'Thanks! you too.' Not 'OMG I don't celebrate that! How dare you say that! You should have known what I celebrate before you wished me anything, Sheesh.'
I don't understand why people get upset over being _more_ inclusive. If you're Christian, isn't that one of the tenets of your faith? How much more obvious does the Bible have to be on that point. "Love thy neighbor" ought to say it all!
Happy Birthday, Mrs. Guion, at least 2 of your 3 children are pretty awesome people, I don't know about Jeffrey because I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him, but I'm sure he's pretty awesome too.

I celebrate Christmas. I say Merry Christmas. My friend says Happy Hanukkah back. We go bowling.
It works out.
Besides, you gotta admit, it's pretty sad that some people get offended by "Merry Christmas."
Okay, which part of Christmas is offensive? The "peace on earth" or "goodwill towards men" rhetoric?

Okay, my mind is officially changed on the "Happy Holidays" issue. Now I'll need to find something else to get angry about. Ha!

Happy 60th, Mrs. Guion!
Did you mention ... LIFE DAY?! *ears start bleeding*
I'm with ya, Matt. Happy Holidays covers all holidays and is non-denominational, so it's a reasonable greeting.

Bleeding snowman is both cool and terrifying.
When you said 'would you wish me a happy birthday on September 28th' I stopped for a second to remember when your birthday was.

Yeah, can't retire just yet, you and I are both have 30 years to knock out first. Nice decorations! You're certainly more spirited than I.
Well argued, friend.
You should make some anti-rants on other things once the holiday season is over. =)

I agree.
But, still, the funniest good cheer wishing Ive heard was the one in the most recent 30 Rock that Avery put on their (Jack and her) card.
Happy Holidays!
(opens card)
...is what terrorists say. Merry Christmas from Avery and Jack!
Oh, Tina Fery, how you never cease to amuse.
