  • I had one of these babies before and you can manually shift it to hold 1st gear. If the driver of the i35 did that, it would of been slightly more even.

  • i35 wasnt trying to win.... he let u win that one cuz my i35 gets up wen u hit the gas

  • This is odd...but sort of impressive. Don't sleep on the Civic Si, especially from a roll!!

    Coming from a Maxima guy.

  • that 4 door family car luxury sedan hung with a sports car thats 4 years newer. Thats a win in my book. But then again i love all nissan so im biased.

  • Now if that I35 had a 6sp man civic would be gone.

  • @TheNissanbest

I35 never came with a 6MT, you'd have to settle for the 02-03 Maxima SE.

  • @xoquixxoqafxo i know that. You must did'nt look at the comment ' had a '. Like I said if it had a 6sp man it would be gone... Y'all so called Honda fans need to step y'all game up.

  • @TheNissanbest

Hey I loved the 02-03 Maxima and I35 but the 4 speed autos really slowed them down.

  • @xoquixxoqafxo i35 weighs more than the maxima giving it a 4sp auto would just make it slower than a maxima with a 4sp auto that's why it slow. Now 02-03 aren't the fastest but they can hit 12's easy with an N/A engine. Now the new maxima i've seen have been very quick... Stock. The quickest i've seen stock was 14.3@98mph in 1/4. My friend has a 2008 maxima all stock that did 14.8@94mph which isn't bad for 255hp and 3,500pounds with a cvt.

  • @TheNissanbest what ??.... hondas at the top moron ... everyone else needs to step up TARD

  • @ppackingnegro WTF?? This was a month ago dumbass. STFU. Hyundai is on top now morom. Everyone needs torque dick head.

  • @ppackingnegro does honda have an automatic car doind 0-60 4.6sec and 1/4 13.1 sec? Does it have 332hp? Does it have a 7sp auto? If it don't Suck it up and shut the hell up.

  • @TheNissanbest who wants a auto car to begin with ??? what are u jabering about ??? honda in numero uno boss man this is old news

  • @ppackingnegro First of all .Alot of people drive automatics. So wtf are you jabering about? Whatever the fuck you type could have stayed in your head. Nissan FTW !

  • Race outcomes in youtube videos do not always reflect the real facts about cars. Most 5.5 Gen Maximas/Infiniti I35's come with a 4 speed Automatic that has gearing ratios more spaced for fuel economy and comfort shifts instead of high performance purposes, meaning, that the revs are kept as low as possible between each shift. The new infiniti G35's come with a more performance oriented 5 speed auto that has very quick shifts with higher revs and no 2.0 civics stand a chance against those.

  • i must say, all the nissan fanboys here sucking each others dicks is an embarrassment....after your famed VQ loses to an even worse shitbox, you take comfort in the fact that a maxima has a bose stereo? Really?

Moral of the story is both cars are shit, by a camaro SS and the guys in the maxima and civic will be shitting their diapers .... end of story.

  • @th3ha1og0d The maxima/I35 was never designed to compete with a 350 v8, so that comparison cant be made. Thats like hey your camaro is slow, see me in my lamborghini.

  • @burninrock24

    That's why you buy a ZR1

  • @th3ha1og0d yet agian, this isnt a relevant argument. this is about your original comment about a maxima vs. a camaro SS.

  • what about it? I stand by what I said: the guy in the maxima and the guy in the civic are both gonna shit their pants when I roll by in the Camaro SS....Hell even the Camaro v6, which costs less than the Maxima, will walk the Maxima.

    Good day to you sir.

  • @th3ha1og0d Being as you have yet to say a year of camaro you are saying, none of those statements can be verified. If you are talking about a camaro of the same year of the I35, ten you are talking about the L36 V6. which makes 200 horsepower at the crank. Put that through that slushbox GM calls a transmission and send it to the rear wheels and you are making about 20% less power. leaving you at 160hp. Now think about what you just posted.

  • @burninrock24

Lol considering that the Camaro you're talking about was made from 1993-2002 you'd better consider that Maxima's from 1993-2002 were making less than 200hp.

    Clearly you're a Nissan fanboy.

    Try again.

  • @burninrock24

    Now consider today's Maxima: 290hp.

    Camaro: 312hp.

    Try again.

  • @th3ha1og0d YET AGIAIN. we're not talking about current day maximas. This is like talking with a 5 year old.. ugh. camaro fanboys.

  • @burninrock24

Okay let's go back to talking about the Maxima in the vid. 4DSC roasted by an econobox. pathetic.

  • @th3ha1og0d the 4dsc is what caused it to loose. Read my comment above about the gearing, im tired of arguing about it, a short geared 5 speed is going to beat a low geared 4 speed, I never denied that. Youre trying to come up with insults that frankly arent thought out, and really insult yourself more.

  • @burninrock24

Lol 1 extra gear...and a huge power deficit. The Si is not making nearly as much power, and it still walks the Maxima.

  • @th3ha1og0d im done with this arguement, you obviously know nothing about transmissions and gear ratios.

  • lol ok if you say so.

  • this infiniti must ad some cheap gas in it because i did same race yesterday with SI on 15 mph roll and got away from him by half of my car after 60 mph by one and a half

  • i drag race an I35 and the best time i hit was like a 15.2 @ 90 mph on all season tires

  • its all about the gearing and transmissions. if this was a race from a dead stop or a 5mph roll then the infinity would kill it. because at a 15 mph roll this car shifts down into 2nd, then has to shift back into 1st once you put the power on. that gives a disadvantage from the start. plus driving on leather and bose audio is a lot better than rock hard seats and plastic umm. everything.. so i think the infiniti actually wins here. am i right?

  • very good

  • @burninrock24 u are definitely whole-heartedly right!

  • @burninrock24 nah your wrong, the cause the si is making more power, the seats arent leather (which is hot as fuck in the summer) the Si has sporty seats wih some nice cushioning aaaaaand it has a 350watts 7-speaker stereo wth a 8inch sub, much better and louder than that bose system mmmmm and its jap plastic, some of the best in the world if not the best along with the jap plastic in that infinity cause it does have it

  • @Dickotine See thats where you're wrong... The Si is not making more power. it is making 197hp on that Vtec pile of overcooked rice. With a 2.0L 4 cylinder. Tell me.. whats cooler, a 255hp VQ 3.5L V6.. mind you, the same engine in the 350z and g35. or your little 2.0 Vtech? Have fun wiping your own cum off your CLOTH seats after you hear a 3.5L VQ engine rev. And Jap plastic? Do you know where hondas are made? Go back to your video games.

  • @burninrock24 lol where should i start, ok, the i30 in this vid is the older 3.0 engine, which made 190hp to be exact, the Si has a 2.0 making more power, how pathetic right??? do your fuckin homework rockhead before u comment on a (professional car knowledge having) mofo like myself, i breathe cars fuck face.

  • @burninrock24 Dont ever question my knowledge on this kinda shit and the Si still walked away from the infinity in this vid, so u just discredited the infinity even more with that silly ass remark. FAIL...

  • @Dickotine HAHA! youre a retard! The car in this video is clearly stated as a 2003 I35. a that stands for Thirty-five as in 35 as in 3.5 liter V6! Go do your homework dumbfuck. The 2002 to 2004 I35 came with one engine, the VQ35DE V6. putting out 255hp. even the 2002 to 2004 I30 came with a 3.0L and put out 227hp. Both have more HP than that piece of shit civic. The engine you're trying to argue about is for a 96-99 i30. this is an '03 fucking I35! two completely different cars.

  • @burninrock24 well u know what the sad part is? if the Si is a piece of shit, then what does it make that slow ass infinity? that cant even stick with that piece of shit Si, your right i didnt read the year of the infinity, it looks like the older model (post yr 2000) i was thinking i30 for some reason, but thats even worst now that i see its a i35.

  • @Dickotine if you knew anything about cars you would know that transmissions and gearing are just as important as power itself. the fact is the si is a 6 speed manual with short gears and the I35 is an overdrive happy 4 speed auto with long gearing. Read my original comment and it will all make sense. The car may have won the pull/race, but the point that i have been trying to prove the whole time is that the i35 has much more class than a civic si.

  • @burninrock24 well you said: "its all about the gearing and transmissions. if this was a race from a dead stop or a 5mph roll, then the infinity would kill it." so it seems like you still insisted the infinity would be faster, im not arguing with you or picking at you, this is turning into a discussion, i drive and race cars all the time i drive all day, i know just about everything about gear ratios and stuff like this. and POWER supercedes gearing in this case

  • @Dickotine but thats the thing. power doesn't supersede gearing. This was a race of gearing since you are correct that the power to weight ratio is pretty similar because of the passenger, so this whole race is based on gearing. I still would put money on an i35 against this same car at a 5mph roll. But from a 15 mph roll, the i35 transmission doesn't decide what gear it wants to be in. That gives an immediate disadvantage to the infiniti.

  • @burninrock24 u know the funny thing is, i've driven this car before, but in the nissan maxima trim, and when i drove it, it was spirited driving. It feels fast, sounds great! didnt handle too well, but when i really sit back and think about it, it was only as quick as an Si since i've driven the Si many times before also. The torque makes that infinity feel faster but oh well. its all good, i dont think the 5mph will make much of a difference on a pull to like 100mph

  • @burninrock24 i think if they granted your wishes and did a race the way you prefered, the infinity still wouldnt do 0-60 quicker, nor the quartermile quicker, and im sure it would never catch the Si. That k20 is underestimated like crazy! its quick for a 2.0 with no torque whatsoever, that shit only has 10lbft of torque more than my Ex 1.8 sohc. but it runs pretty good as u can see in this vid, its respectable

  • @burninrock24 power to weight ratio can play a part in it all, but we are talking about a modern 3.5liter 255hp 4-speed auto, vs a 197hp 2.0 tortueless civic, the weight difference has only gotta be a few hundred lbs as the Si isnt as light as the older models are, they are still just a few lbs under 3000lbs with no torque, and the Si had 2 people in it thats even worst for the Si with the lack of torque.

  • @burninrock24 this is where u are wrong buddy. i have a 2009 civic si bone stock and i beat a 2008 nissan maximima 3.5. i agree the VQ 3.5 sounds better, but only because its 3.5. watch my video, with my older si 2008 vs same 2007 nissan maxima, type in 2008 civic si vs maxima, and u will see a white si vs silver maxima

  • @bregada1 Youre not really proving anything i said wrong.

  • @Dickotine Burninrock just raped you. Go to my channel if you want help masturbating to I35 sounds.

  • @V6TireSmoke and your pathetic! u dont know shit about cars either backing up a silly little boy who knows nothing about cars and engines or racing or anything probably

  • @burninrock24 well said

  • @burninrock24

Lol I've been in all generation Maxima's from 1995-2009 they do not have what I would call "stellar" interior quality. Bose stereo also sounds like shit.

  • @th3ha1og0d your fucking high if you want to try and tell the world that the bose audio systems in these cars sounds like shit... the bose radio in my 00' i30 would rock the fuckin doors off your gay ass factory speakers.. yea crackly bass in your civic is siiick man. def wanna trade my luxury sedan for your undersized rice patty shit

  • @djamptronr

so because I am making fun of the Nissan I must be a Civic owner? Bose audio period is way overhyped. Rice is rice, and Honda sucks dick, but what's even worse is that the Nissan LOST. FAIL.

  • @th3ha1og0d bose audio is not overhyped.. idc if it lost the honda weighs a shiiiiit ton less because it doesnt have half of what the infiniti has

  • @burninrock24 i agree, i own one an i love it , i dragged race with a mustang, Sion and honda civic . and won all of them

  • @burninrock24 Hey i was wondering where you found this info cause it is very interesting?

  • @SampleHockey101 Because I actually own an I35.

  • @burninrock24 I own one to but i am only 16 and dont know much about cars can you kinda tell me about weather i would want to start from a stand still or start on like a 30 roll for a race?

  • @SampleHockey101 Race from a standstill. The V6 in our cars are really torquey. Basically. they're pretty potent. And 1st gear is a solid gear that'll get you to ~40mph pretty damn quick. Second gear sucks though. So try to end the race before you reach it. If you're racing from like 30 mph. Shift it into 1st gear manually. Your RPMs will be at 4grand-ish. Punch it but don't forget to shift into second. You don't need to take your foot off the gas for shifting either.

  • @burninrock24 Thanks, and one more question from a standstill of course i should take VDC off but should i floor it or press down not quit so fast cause if i floor it it does like a mini burnout so which one would get me going the fastest? Thanks a ton!

  • @SampleHockey101 If you're going straight, just punch it. The only way you'll severely break the tires loose is if you floor it with the wheel turned. And that would just be stupid. Just gun n go.

  • @burninrock24 Alright thank you!

  • @burninrock24 This man knows what he's talking about.

  • Only reason it lost was becuase its 4 speed. Honda DOES blow but only good cars from honda were prelude and s2000. NSX too but its acura

  • @UPSXPRESS I completly agree, and its true

  • I am an Infiniti owner, the I35 has been dead technology since the G35 released, I35 was killed after 2004, so this is sad that an 07 'sport' SI is not running circles around it, Honda is a teenager car, infiniti is a mans car

  • Infiniti I35 - 255hp 245TQ

    Honda Civic SI - 197hp 139TQ

Hmm, the I35 has 106 more TQ than the Civic and 57 more hp... Nissan rapes Honda all day!

  • power means nothing without the gear ratios! I35 weighs a ton when compared to the civic si

  • so right when the I35 starting losing is when the Si's better gearing kicked in

  • Comment removed

  • I WANT A I35,, SHOULD I GET IT???

  • at the end of the day id still take the I35 over the civic

  • its a luxury sedan no need to race them the i35 is not in the sports car class its ok if it lost cuz it doesnt matter u dont c i35's on the track and shit i mean u can do stuff to it. but y its just a luxy car.

  • I agree completely. He's the one that wanted to. Notice the beginning of the info says "For shits and giggles". All in good fun. :)

  • actually i bracket race an i35 and its actually pretty good. i won a leather jacket with it

  • LOL you say the i35 shouldnt be racing? I'd rather race a 255hp V6 with the same engine as a 350z than race a piece of shit 4 banger thats only got 139 lb/ft of torque

  • To all those saying the i35 is slow, you're wrong

I owned one for quite a while. It was anything BUT slow. It shares the same engine as the 350z. The transmission is a piece of crap, sure, but the engine was vicious, it was unassumingly quick.

  • the I35 has alot more hp than the si, take off TC

  • I35 has a 4 speed auto!

  • my i35 (maxima with lock washers) will smoke that si. your right, TC kills it.

  • stop racing automatics

  • The guy in the i25 needs to stop driving his mothers car like that.

  • I meant I35

  • no still slow sorry

  • I drive a 2003 infiniti i35, and it is all BUT slow.

  • actaully it is slow

  • uuuh maybe this one in the video... but if you take care of the engine, then you should have one of the fastest sedans in its class.

  • I drive one every day. Its sorta slow

  • lol yea but hey to each there own

  • not a bad race. The I35's have wayyyy overated hp ratings. 255 hp with 240 lb-ft of torque should be way faster than that

  • i had one for many years, it was a 2003. Cool car, beat everything on the road in its respective class till the new body TL came around, that gave me a good run. When raced from a dead stop the I35 would eat the Acura, G35, Lexus...etc just turn off the traction and shift it manually. Also remember that all that power wasn't used properly, Nissan only put a 4SPD auto in this car...WTF! Plus, should a heavy, 4SPD auto, FWD, entry level luxury car really beat an SI? Go race an 03 6SPD Maxima :)

  • Not, it was just stuck with only four gears.

And the comment above isn't true either. A 3.2TL Type-S would've easily matched him, and the 04 would handily beat him.

  • With tha shitty four speed auto and nissan power absorbing TC its only putting down like 180 whp

  • Comfortable car to cruise in tho. That's for sure.

  • turn off TC.

    problem solved.

four gears never held me back. i blew the doors off plenty of cars

  • No not Traction control the torque converter

  • wow the si is slow

  • Thanks.

  • lets c ur gay little SI verse an I35 without intake and exaust!

  • Compare the numbers on both cars and tell me who has the advantage...

Also, HE wanted to race me. Not the other way around. kthxbye.

  • doesn't matter. both cars were slow.

  • Yep.

  • actually neither one of these cars are "slow", and you cant tell how fast there accelerating from this type of video. A "slow" car in my opinion is an I4 Altima, Hyundai Accent, Elentra, I4 Sonota, SUV's, Honda civic, Accord I4, Mini,...pretty much anything thats a 4cyl, not "race inspired", and automatic. What do you drive, i'll tell you if i think its slow? 10 bucks says you lie and say you drive an M3 or something else thats a known high end sports car.

  • all you had to do was click my name to find out. nissan 300zx 2+2 twin turbo. oh, and it's not even close to stock.

  • well in my opinion that's a quick car, in fact its on my top picks list for all time favorites. Im not a fan of 350's though, call me crazy.

  • and considering my best friend drives a 2008 RR honda civic SI and the only mod is that he's lowered and i put bus lengths on him when we race...it's slow. at least compared to what i am used to. it's one of the best fwd cars in it's class though, handles great too.

  • most people are either used to there bumble SUV's or there eco 4cyl so these two cars would feel fast, but there not, there just quick. No matter how great the Civics handling is it will still "plow" through a corner, i like RWD. Better balance, power delivery, and handling....oh and great for donuts haha

  • HAHAHAHHAH was a horible race to begin with

  • since your car has intake and exhaust you should try racing one with intake and exhaust or even a maxima. its a different animal..ive raced SI many times..even raced my cousins o4 Acura tl with CAI..

  • why didnt u guys do it from a stop?

  • I35 = No LSD. It wouldn't have been a contest.
