I'm not going to say that I prefer this one (cos I don't) but they didn't butcher it. They just made it into a Darwin Deez song. This is what covers should be - taking a song and making it your own and while this is not great, at least they haven't just carbon copied the original which is what most musicians do nowadays.
I never get when people say they "murdered" or "butchered" a song. The original is still there, and if it was that bad wouldn't the original sound even better?
