How many tries do you usually take to get the finished take? I'm wondering because these are always flawless, seems like they must take forever to get just right. Syncing and all that stuff.

@ShadowXSnake For instruments that are playing the main melodies (like the melodica and the banjo in this video), I usually do takes for an hour or so until I get a really good one. For instruments that aren't going to stand out as much (like the uke or the rhythm guitar), I usually only do a few takes, and I don't worry too much about small errors like minor fret buzzing, because I figure no one will notice it. So usually an entire recording only takes about two or three days.
