Hey hickok love you videos. Can you condider maybe doing a video of the beretta 21a bobcat? I just got one and havent got the chance to shoot it yet and i would just like to hear your opinion on it! Thanks!
Beretta makes the most good looking guns out there(in my opinion) a like a lot the aesthetics of Beretta handguns, but the real important thing in the end that you ought to ask your self, is it a reliable gun and do you feel confortable shooting the gun.. Taking this two things into account, I prefer the Glock 17, is ugly as heel but is the most reliable gun on the market(out of the box) and is more confortable to shoot.
@karma661 well I love 1911s and shoot a little tighter groups with them but one thing is for sure the beretta is a great pistol and youl be able to shoot it more cause 9mm is way cheaper then .45... So I'd say if it's your first gun get the beretta.. The gun itself is cheaper... But if money is no issue what the hell get the 1911 IMHO
I did the same thing.I had one with wood handles, i think a 92f in 1989 after i got out of the army .Ended up trading away.I was in panama when we changed from the 45 to the baretta 9mm. The 45's were so worn out they would rattle around alot.Anyway,i feel the same way it has alot of patriotic history and have considered getting one again. i believe if i see a good deal on one i will have to add to my collection in the future.great review as always.keep up the good work. Thanks
"barattas" aren't reliable? Get off cod rtard. Beretta is more reliable then an overpriced pos MODERN sig. My first firearm was a Beretta 92 Vertec and it was perfect for a "beginner". A Glock on the other hand is reliable but at the end of the day it's just a Glock. That's like saying a Honda is great for a first car because they're reliable, yes they are but it's still just a Honda at the end of the day, nothing special. The military didn't choose beretta just because it's a sexy looking gun.
@Robertjcksn40 My modern sigs are more reliable than a 92fs, get a 92 wet and see what happens. BTW I love the 92 because it is a classic beautiful gun. I grew up seeing it in every movie and fell in love with it.
@karma661 neither 1911 is not the best gun for a first pistol and barratas are not that reliable i would recommend a Sig or glock they are alto nicer for a beginner.
I have put nearly 500 rounds through my beretta 92FS now without any malfunctions. Definitely glad I purchased it...next on my list is a S&W .500. Haven't stopped thinking about getting one since I watched your Vid on it, KA-BOOM!!! :) Thanks Hickok45
If i ever had to be shot to death but could choose who shot me, it would be this man. With this Beretta. At least that way in heaven i could tell everyone "hey, Hickok45 killed me!" lol
-3 the vids..I bought my 92FS about a month ago..put 100 rounds through it with no Problems and I was more accurate than my friend with his 1911 45ACP. I'm really fond of the look of the gun as well...Beretta FTW! :D
I just got a new Beretta M9A1 and answered an age old question. Yes, it is possible to be madly in love with a hand gun. If I could find a woman like my M9A1, I would marry her.
@Hickok45 Curious as to what type of ammo you prefer, I've been using alot of the Sellier & Bellot 115 FMJ for target/practice and Speer Gold Dot LE 115 / 115 +P GDHP for carry.
I have been learning from John since I discovered his videos on YT. The best teacher I have found so far. Almost decided on a Glock 19, because of his advise. Keep it up, John!

After that the slide will come back cocking the hammer in the process for each additional shot, making it Single Action. Now you have a light pull. Some people (Hickok) don't like that transition between DA/SA.
@Speedogg138 i know, i just meant cause you said you have to manually cock the single actions. although i guess you technically do when you rack the slide haha i was just thinking single action revolvers i guess. my bad haha :P
@Speedogg138 yeah ive heard ny is pretty restrictive. i have to have a special license, on top of the one i have for long guns, which i have to register (another load of crap) and i need an authorization to transport to bring the pistols to and from the range. they can only be dishcharged there, or on private property outside of city limits. our pistols can only have 10 rounds max, centerfire long guns that are semi auto can only have 5 rounds....i want 30 round mags for my ar 15 but i cant :P
@DonovanRoberts69 Unfortunately, NY is similar. (Note, I am referring to New York, not the free people that live in America). Magazine restrictions, licenses needed to even TOUCH a pistol, judge has to sign off on each pistol, references needed for the license, hundreds of dollars needed for a license. It's a joke.
