tom jane was excited about doing the punisher 2 and loved the gritty script set in new york city but the studio got all hollywood and decided not to do a realistic brilliant film but instead do a shitty storyline and got a new writer in. the orgiginal director stepped down because he hated the new script and so did tom jane. so the film was rebooted instead.

Ray is wayyyy better than thomas. Plus Ray looks like the punisher and he's wayyyy taller than thomas. Ray is perfect for the punisher, a tall man... somewhere around 40s or 50s. He even looks serious and buff. Thomas just had that series face. Plus the movie thomas acted as the punisher fucking sucked!!!!! it had nothing to do with the comics, only some villains like the russian. Warzone is far amazing, has a lot of shooting...gore. John Saint (the guy who had a bomb placed in his hand) was "killed" offscreen so maybe he survived and came back as Jigsaw and he'll hire Barracuda (hopefully played by Bob Sapp) to help him. If Garth Ennis writes the script, it'll be even better.

I read that Tom Jane lost faith in the script and project. I haven't seen the Punisher War Zone yet but I saw the trailer and there's a scene where he's spinning upside down shooting everyone.
