Yeah i remember this cat i used to dj when i was young i remember catching the bus all the way to detroit to get this cut.Man he was so underrated.RIP
Yes...this the beat the put D.J. Irv & T. T. Tucker on the map in New Orleans Louisiana...it also was the Instumental that was sampled into many "Bounce Music" Hits that branched out over the world. He is the Reason For Bounce in New Orleans as well The Showboys.
Allway's remembered and not forgotten R.I.P he was the frist UK Hip Hop Mc to go in the pop charts he laid the way for other UK Hip Hop Mc's and was the first UK Hip Hop Mc to make and break the USA Hip Hop seen again laid the way for other UK Hip Hop MC'S The UK Hip Hop seen our so much to this Hip Hop MC and we should all never for get that a true UK Pioneer and Hip Hop legend has been taken from us all that's why I say very sadly missed but not forgotten R.I.P. Derek Boland (1965-2009 ]
Wow,Yes very sad.I loved your album. Also It's like that the acis version was sooo popular on the gay scene at the time.I am also from Acton.Hope that's true. What are you guys doing now.? Would love to hear back from you.
A sad loss of a UK pioneer. I used to drop this tune at parties & clubs back in the day. Saw him live at Academy Brixton Supporting LL Cool J , Public Enemy & Erik B & Rakim. R.I.P :(
So this is where the brown beat was used first. Now it's used for a different genre of Hip-Hop called "Bounce" which started in New Orleans late 1991-early 1992 from some 10th ward deejays, I believe TT Tucker or The Everlasting Hitman. But I do know it was at a Cohen Senior High School Winter formal where it all started. Unfortunately it has evolved to this new thing called "Sissy Rap".
great video, if you need any help getting your video/channel exposed i use a site called mytubeviews . com It has helped 5 of my videos get ranked on the first pages.
