  • Thank goodness this pilot failed! All the actors stank up the place, except for Skanke, of course; that's why they rehired him. That woman can't even pronounce proper French, she's a disgrace to the real Janette. And don't get me started on LaCroix LOL!! It's worth 1 watch just to realize how truly lucky were the stars aligned & worked in our favor this one time.

  • Does anyone know what the rock song is that plays in the background of the driving scene with Nick and Alyce that follows this club segment?

  • just watched this version tonight..classics never die. i really loved the music they threw in this. could anyone tell me the name of the song being played after this scene. where Knight and the hot blonde drive in the cadillac, there's some punk techno song playing on the radio while there driving..been wondering who sings that?

  • COOL

  • Well, BratKingJareth, I beg to differ, sir. I loved the Series, too.

I remember seeing this and though it has been a long time since I have seen this once when I was a kid, I became mesmerized by it and got me into Forever Knight:)

  • Rick was the best Nick Knight!! Should have had Rick in the series :(

  • Moonlight ripped this off

  • This wasn't a failed pilot. It became the show Forever Knight. It had three seasons. They just recast Nick.

  • @TheBratKingJareth And the rest of cast as well. It was a failed pilot really - the first episodes of Forever Knight have the same plot as you know :)

  • @Hjalmberi You REALLY don't know much about TV shows at all, do you? Pilots usually have major recasting done for the finished show. The pilot for Dresden Files had a different Bob and Justin than the finished show and different Dresden backstory as well as different back story for Bob. The Pilot for Being Human had a different George and Annie. Since Being Human ONLY has three main cast members that was two thirds of the cast. Pilots are usually rough versions of a singular episode(con

  • @TheBratKingJareth Nick Knight, like Being Human still maintained at least one original cast member. In this case it was Schanke. With Being Human it was George. The Dresden File's original pilot was re-done twice but that does NOT count the first version of the pilot as a failure. A failed pilot means 'no launch.' Get the flight metaphor yet? Forever Knight did launch, in fact IMDB counts it as having run since 1989 (not 1992) because the pilot was, Nick Knight counted.

  • @TheBratKingJareth Next time you want to call something a failed pilot... learn why the term is called a pilot.

  • @TheBratKingJareth Correction from my first post. Being Human's Mitchell and Annie were recast, not George. George was the only original cast member kept. That counted as a successful pilot BECAUSE it got them a TV seies. It's not fail or success because it gets recycled as a first episode or if it keeps the cast. It's a fail or success IF IT GETS A TV SHOW! Got it yet? Failed Pilot = No show.

  • @Hjalmberi Skanke wasn't recast. it was the same actor from this movie playing him in the show

  • @TheBratKingJareth Just to give you a basic idea of what the show is going to be about. It doesn't always count as part of the rest of the series. The original Dresden Files pilot is not on the DVD set, nor is the original Being Human pilot. But they were SUCCESSFUL pilots because they got the rest of the TV series green lit. A failed pilot has NO show at ALL! Got it!? Your ignorance on the subject is mind boggling. And no, it was not the entire cast. (con)

  • I was so in love with Rick Springfeild,,,,,,he is still hot

  • This Janette stinks, no wonder it didn't make it. She is stiff!

  • AHH.... I've been trying to get this song and had NO idea who sang it since it's not on the ending movie credits! YES! Thanks alot!

    Awesome song!

  • You're welcome. I could barely find the song googling words from the lyrics.

  • How great, the Nick Knight version of the Raven. I love Forever Knight but I love the vibe that was presented here. Janette's silhouetted introduction is one my favorite visuals from this movie. Thanks for sharing!

  • rick look so hot in tv movies

  • Ha Ha! Nick Knight owns the bodyguard lifiting him up by his nuts..LOL I agree that the effects there are good because there isn't a cutaway with the camera. However, with the lighting and everything, it was easy to hide the wires that made the lift possible. There is no way that RS or really anybody for that matter could essentially curl a 200 plus pound guy off the ground with one arm. You would need vampire strength for that..LOL

Desire is a great song BTW. Fits the club scene nicely.

  • WOW. Rick Springfield lifts a guy (ok, i know this is edited, but still)?? Speaks French??? What can he NOT do??

  • I think the woman who plays Janette in this video works really well. The woman who plays her in the Forever Knight version is just as good, but doesn't seem like the same character. This woman seems a bit tougher, maybe a bit darker of a person.

  • What a wonderful version of Nick Knight! Even though Geraint Wyn Davies and Nigel Bennett were terrific as Nick and LaCroix, I don't think Rick Springfield and Michael Nader's performances were any less incredible. Thanks for posting this!

  • Not so, grasshopper.

  • I love this film, still hunting for it on dvd... he was the best nick knight

  • DVD is available at american Amazon.
