@no69ob Yep in the start it is, but actually there is few tips learning to handle xm8 in shorter time, these are such as going to Training room (item shop -> xm8, enter shooting range), empty a clip to wall and maybe another two to see every spray pattern and after that, try to get these bullets in closer area, and then figure out which is the best technique for you to land a kill in close, middle and long range. And don't forgot to choose right crosshair and color :P. Good luck!
