I think by the media is making a mistake by painting this young man as just an innocent victim in all of this. What he is truly a victim of is not having the self-confidence and the propper guidance to realize he can leave the thug mentality to the thugs and be something greater. In the video I clearly see him walking into the ruckus and throwing a punch rather than avoiding the ignorance. His death is not disimilar to Tupac's where those with great potential still feel the need to tightrope
