Lets say there's a new burger joint upstart. Essentially, It ripped off its recipe and style from one of our favorite establishments. They had influences too, which they directly ripped off. its not like their style materialized out of thin air. People were saying the same thing about ac/dc back in the day. And its not band to sound like a band that influences you, for example Airbourne. That just goes to show that they want to be like their favorite band. But thats common practice and its been so ever since tonality and rhythm were first subdivided. Its not a negative thing its a necessary thing. No band is 100% original. Its pretentious to measure a band based of their "originality". ac/dc and airbourne are my favorite bands because theyre fearless and ballsy. You dont have to be original to rock.
