This movie The Grand was clearly overlooked when it was released.

In my opinion this is a one of a kind, flooded with stars, the writing is brilliant, the story line... brilliant, the characters are so interesting; they had me hanging on to their every word.

The most original and entertaining movie of its time... Luck and Skill Be Damned. lol

i watched this movie 3 times (i like texas) - first time liked it a lot, second time i watched it just out of boredom and then (thinking that it was a great movie) saw it with my girlfriend after a nice dinner - told her WOW - i know a great movie and then felt ashamed after 15 minutes because i relized that it is an insult to cinematografy.

I watched it last night after reading some pretty bad reviews. I thought it was pretty funny. Be warned I have a retarded sense of humor. It was unscripted for the most part. The actors were required to improv their own lines. Production filmed an ending for most of the final table characters as if they had won it. Then they played out a final table of the tourney. Which ever character won, the appropriate ending was then put into the film. Interesting concept pretty funny movie.
