  • omfg like vacuum cleaner :D

  • damn thats loud as FUCK

  • Comment removed

  • very cool

  • A 1200 FTW

  • that thing is friggin loud!

  • G5 is like 100 times better than the mouse you have.

  • How much do you love it?!?!

  • A lot haha, I'm craving a new one though...

  • jus so yu know this rig is good, i would of went for a 4870/4870 gcard with windows xp 64 bit or sindows 7 ultimate, vista sucks!!!

  • Would now, but at the time the 4870 wasn't out. Thanks though, I appreciate the comment.

  • that is 1 loud ass pc!

  • Sure is, thanks.

  • ACER = fail!!

  • not reallyyy

  • Not so much...

  • Could I borrow it ahhaham....jk good job!

    my specs:

    2.8ghz(overclocked)x2

    4gb ram

    750gbhdd

    128mb nvidea(crap)

  • Thanks.

  • TOOOOOOOOOOO LOUD!!!!!!!!!

  • Nah, all good.

  • that rig is awesome for your first :D

  • this pc sounds like a plane :D

  • Not quite, but its close.

  • jezus christ, the noise that is coming of that computer -_-

you might want to change some coolers...

  • Nah, all good.

  • Why didn't you install two of those 3,000 rpm fans in the bottom instead of the 140's. The blue led's look awesome but the 3,000 rpm ones move like 146 cfm's. Is it because that case doesen't have the screw holes for two 120's on the bottom or you didn't want to deal with the extra noise?

  • That's a beautiful computer.

  • wow your computer is batty .. its bare loud lmao

  • What are ur ram called? Cuz it's pretty loud fans i couldn't hear what u said !:D

    Thanks

  • Corsair memoryé i dont remimb wich model he said.

  • Its Crucial Ballistix.

  • nice !

  • Thanks

  • what is ur fans ?

    1- cpu cooler fans?

2- in and out take fans ?

    3- the bottom fans?

  • 1. Interior of the cooler is a Scythe Ultra-Kaze 3,000 RPM. Exterior (right side) is a Thermaltake 140 mm blue LED)

    2. The intake and exhaust fans are all generic Thermaltake fans.

    3. The bottom two intake fans are XCLIO Amazing LED fans. They are horrible. I would avoid them if I were you.

    Hope this helps.

  • I'm sorry, I don't really understand your comment...

I understand very nice and the part in parenthesis translates to very good (Russian, I believe), but I don't understand the question you asked.

If you could rephrase it then maybe I would be more able to help you or answer the question.

    Thanks,

    HT

  • he asked the processor , dual, quad , i7?

  • It's a Intel Q9450. Quad core at 2.66 GHz stock.

  • Stock , with that cooler?

  • It's my first build. I probably should OC it considering I've had it for a while now but seeing as when it was built I didn't know what I was doing I was scared I would screw something up...

  • nice rig, 5/starz

when are you going to post more. almost 1 yr.

  • Good question.

I haven't done much to the rig since these videos. I am interested in starting a custom PC building business, but I haven't really found any local customers.

I may broadcast this on youtube and start up the business that way.

I feel like I do quality work and I enjoy the process so I think it would benefit me as well as others for me to start this.

  • That sounds good, wish you all the luck. It's a tough business though, hard to really make any real money. If you do ti for the love of PC building/modding then you will be ok..

    Cheers

    LazyMan @WCM

  • hmm i just bought a wave have you had other keyboard you could compare it to, and do you know the response time cause i can\t find it anywhere

  • I really don't...

All I can tell you is that I am extremely happy with the wave. The feel is incredible but as far as high end performance specs I can't really tell you.

Personally, I am happy with it...

  • If you remove the Sidebar your processor won't work as hard and you computer will work faster because of less ram being used...

  • Sidebar?

  • Ooooh. You mean the sidebar on the desktop, am I correct? If so, I have it disable now. This video is old in that regard. Thanks for the input.

  • yeah thats what i mean. And no problem, just trying to help people enjoy their computers more =)

  • you should water cool your rig its great for overclocking and its not hard to install at all

  • I would but it is a monetary issue right now...

  • Thanks but again it is not that loud when I turn the Ultra Kaze down...

  • tooo loud

but i will buy this cooler too

  • OK...

It's not that loud when I turn the fan down...

  • The coolers in the down are exausthing de air, no pushing to the vga.

  • Huh? I'm pretty sure that I know which way my fans are pushing the air. I mean, I did build the computer and I do own it. I can put my hand down there and feel the air moving...

    Thanks for the concern though...

  • I love your setup!!! and your Computer!!! ;)

  • Thanks.

  • thats fucking loud :P

  • Ugh.

  • not bad man =)

  • Thanks.

  • nice pc, its a bit loud. is it because of the gpu fan speed is at 100%. hey mate dont get pissed at people who are saying your pc is loud, its just a comment. as long as your happy with your pc, that's all that matters. and i have to say for the first build, you have done a great job.

  • Thanks, I'm not pissed, it's just I get the same comment over and over again even though I have already adressed it. It's not very loud with the Ultra-Kaze at 2,000 instead of 3,000 RPMs.

  • aaahh so thats the reason. thanks mate, yeah just saw how many times you have to address this issues. why not put it in your video it self, so that you dont have to address the issues again. If you dont people like me will keep on coming LOLZ, tc, nice rig

  • ok man , thanks for the help

  • thanks for the info if i put a fan or 2 fans the card will have normal temp or will be cool , yes i dont want to go SLI or Crossfire and i think that the Geforce 9800 GX2 is a awesome card , what is your favorite game , i am a big fan of splinter Cell

  • I don't play that many PC games to tell you the truth. I spend most of my "gaming" time playing Gears of War on the 360.

And yes, some fans will give you a normal temperature on the card. Don't get the XCLIO Amazing fans. They are far from amazing...

  • Nice rig man. I think your resolution is 1680 x 1050, correct me if I'm wrong. Loving the blue. i hear the 9800GX2, when playing games, the graphics have a "tearing" effect? Does that happen to you?

  • Hasn't really happened to me...

The resolution is 1680 x 1050. To tell you the truth, I don't game that often. I've played STALKER and I didn't have any problems at all.

    Thanks for the compliments.

  • Oh alright, nice man.

  • hy man thanks for the info if i put a fan the video card Geforce 9800GX2 will be cool ? and what video card do you recomend thath is the same with the Geforce 9800GX2? i think that the 9800GX2 is the best card for future games and hd and i can play the games on max .

  • I'm not sure the 9800 GX2 will ever be "cool." It's built to run hot. I thought mine was overly hot before my upgrades and they said it was actually on the cooler end when I contacted BFG.

But, on the other side of your comment, it depends on how much money you have to throw into the system. If you have enough to go SLI, then I would go GTX280 in tri-SLI (or 4870x2 in quad crossfire). But, if SLI isn't an option, then I would say 9800 GX2 is your best option.

    Hope this helps.

  • actually right now , if you have the money to drop get 2 GTX295, quad sli =] ... and i have 3 GTX-280 and it beats the 4870X2 by a little bit, not alot =[

    4870's run blazing hot!

  • DAMN THATS FUCKING LOUD!!!!

  • I'm actually getting tired of reading and responding to these comments (the ones pertaining to how loud my PC is). I've already responded at least 5 times to this. Please read before commenting.

    Thanks.

  • please read before commenting? stupid meatball, if i say its loud its loud, got that XD?

  • I laughed hysterically at the stupidity of your comment. Please do me a favor and refrain from making another comment on any of my videos...

    Thanks in advance...

  • nah, you gotta do it physicly, and you doesnt have to go fucking crazy over a comment like mine, its fucking LOUD, its my opinion, if you dont like it ignore it or fucking remove it if you'd like to,

theres no ''stupidity'' in my last comment and i comment on every video if i feel to and you cant make me not to, fucking prank, stfu and learn what ''stupidity'' means.

  • Funny thing is, I can make you stop commenting on my videos...

And please, don't question intelligence when you use the sentence, "I comment on every video if I feel to and you can't make me not to, fucking prank."

Do you comprehend how many gramatical and word choice errors are in that sentence?

  • Wow, you're pretty stupid lol, you need to learn to act mature while on the internet But really? Fghting over the internet is pointless.

(Please don't put commas instead of periods.)

  • Wow, you're pretty stupid lol, you need to learn to act mature while on the internet But really? Fghting over the internet is pointless.

    Uh, wow.

I guess I'll leave this comment up just so people can see the stupidity of it. I'm not "fighting" over the internet. There is a difference between fighting and making a point. A fight usually involves physical contact. Like, if I was to hit you in the mouth, then we have a fight.

  • And then, your going to insult my grammar...Please look at your post. "Wow, you're pretty stupid," is a sentence so it should have a period after it; you could also use a semicolon due to the fact that the following sentence relates directly to it. Next, "internet But really?" Last I checked But is not a proper noun, so why is it capitalized? Also, if you meant to but a period before the But, then "But really?" is not a sentence.

  • Last but not least, "Fghting" is not a word. If you meant "fighting," then you should have spelled the word correctly.

Please, do me a favor and go make ridiculous comments on other user's videos. Also, proofread before you criticize grammar.

    Thanks

  • hy man a 600 W power good for the 9800 GX2 , What temp it runs? is it hot or is it cool ? and geforce 9800GX2 is it better then ati 3870x2 ? thanks

  • It's a 650W and yes, no problems yet. I would go to google and type in something like "PC wattage calculator" to see what you need for your system. I think it's around 50 C under load. 39 C idle. Not sure, depends on what you are looking for. I think it performed better in most tests but now there are newer, better cards out...

    Hope this helps.

  • do you really like it?

  • Like what?

  • hey mate, did you have some problems with the IFX-14? I heard that some people say that the cpu plate wasn't flate so it wouldn't really fit..any idea?...

Would that cooler fit on a phenom II 940?

  • Yeah, it definitely is not flat. If it was, I think it would be the top HSF on the market. Problem is, the base is flat but then they put the heat pipes in and it warps the base (stupid Thermalright...). But, I went with this cooler because I was planning on lapping it. I ended up lapping it (sanding down the base until it was flat) and I'm getting some awesome temps with it.

  • Thanks alot mate! =D

  • No problem.

  • I'd recommend you take the sound card off until you really need it, your Mobo has 7.1 sound stock. So you really don't need it at all, and its just taking more power. =/

  • No, my mobo doesn't have 7.1 stock. The motherboard comes with the Supreme FX II HD sound card. It is made excusively for Asus motherboards. The motherboard comes with the card instead of onboard sound.

  • if you are concerned about noise just get a fan controller...

  • I'm not concerned about it, but it seems everyone else is haha.

I probably will get a fan controller in the future.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • LOUD!!!!!!!!!

But who cares when your playing Crysis with headsets

  • Like I said, it's not that loud when I turn the Ultra Kaze down to 2,000 RPM's...

    Thanks for the comment.

  • lmao i have the same monitor

  • Cool Deal.

  • noooisseeeeee .....

  • Uh okay. Thanks for the comment.

  • you should take off lot off fans.

  • Why?

  • ffs thats loud

  • True that. Sounds like a plane taking off. That system should be so much more quiet.

  • It can be much quieter. The noise comes from the Scythe Ultra-Kaze. If I cut it down to 2000 RPM it sounds a lot more quiet. It was running constant at 3018 RPM's when this video was made for performance purposes. I know, it's loud.

  • Nice rig!

  • Thanks.

  • whats that noise!

  • thats the new thermaltake am i correct?

  • I'm not real sure if it's new but it is a Thermaltake Xaser VI.

  • perhaps you can help me ;)

im indecised in choosing a mobo

    between

    Rampage formula

    Maximus extreme

    which one should i pick?

    :O

is the rampage ready for 1600 and DDR3?

  • No the Rampage doesn't support DDR3. I don't know much about the Maximus extreme. There is a Rampage Extreme as well. I can't help you much here. I do know that generally speaking, the Rampage Series is better.

  • oh ok

    im going for extreme then

rampage extreme is very expensive for a mobo and the full potencial of her is only unleashed with QX processors

  • oi man don't go with DDR3 there is no need until nehalem/Core i7, which will be on a different socket therefore different motherboard anyway. most people will only need DDR2-800 for OCing on Core 2's, or for extreme overclocking, DDR2-1066. this is because the FSB of the cpu (eg 1066 for a Q6600 Quad-Core) divided by four = the FSB per pipeline (266x4 = 1066). RAM is DDR or Double Data Rate therefore you only need DDR2-533 at stock! overclock it a bit and you will still only need 667 or 800.

  • lol im getting a Asus Maximus Extreme ix38 DDR3

why not use DDR3 4 gb 1333 when you can oc to 1666? :D

you cant get it with ddr2

besides the memory is good and cheap

    the one im getting

  • um. the point is those extra mhz will do SHIT ALL. are you blind or something did you not read my post? the most you will ever need for extreme overclocking is DDR2-1066. anything above that offers NO performance benefits, and in most cases actually LESS performance because of the higher latency of DDR3 Modules... ffs sometimes i wonder

  • i prefer to make a good investment now than buying another computer with almost the same amount of money on the future because its already very outdated

  • @ nivrin13. dude, are you seriously blind like venomdawg suggested? only nehalem and core i7 will be able to get a performance increase with ram clocked above 1066 mhz due to current cpu's only having 1066 mhz busses and you cant have those cpus on any motherboard since they use a socket that hasnt come out yet! if you are intelligent at all, you'll realize that this means DDR3 is pointless since it is clocked way past 1066 and youll have to get a new mobo anyways for the new cpus, dumbass.

  • rotfl

    right...

you mean that the next generation of cpu´s i7 runs at DDR2?

    WTF LOL

    -_-

  • awsome case :D

    i like it

  • Thanks.

  • LMAO dud thats SO Overkill lmao lol but sick rig.

  • Thanks, I guess.

  • what is the back side cooler do*****

  • Uh nothing much. It is designed to remove heat from the backside of the CPU but it only lowers temps by around 1 C. But hey, if I have it why not use it. It comes with the IFX-14. And I think it looks cool...

  • what does is back side cooler for?? and i have the same case!

    M3A32-MVP WIFI MB

    1X4GB KINGSTON 1066

    3870 IN CROSSFIRE OC

    9850 PHENOM 2.5GHZ

    HYPERE 212 HEATSINK

    10K RPM WD 80GB+500GB 7K RPM

    VESTA 64

    5.9 score for vesta!!!

  • I love ur attitude ur so positive about everything and everything suits you.....ur like the happiest guys since every piece of kit you have pleases you...I think your mint because of ur attitude...sweet rig....

  • Haha thanks.

  • sound's like airplane!!get some watercooling and a gtx 280 to run silent and cool!!

  • It's not loud at all when I turn the Ultra-Kaze down to 2,000 RPM's and the temps are still good.

And I would but I'm kinda broke right now...

  • $3,000 for that? My rig was around $1,900 and It's got a 9800gx2, 790i FTW, 4gb DDR3 1333, CM690 case, Dual 250gb WD caviars in RAID 0, a Q6600 GO @ 4ghz. I have a Logitech MX 550 Keyboard and mouse combo, (3200dpi laser) and a 19" Gateway monitor (1440x1900). And I built it back in june.Regardless of price, you have a pretty kick-ass system.

  • Thanks.

  • nice, i almost got that case

  • Thanks.

  • Nice rig, I notice we both had that same problems with the IFX-14 and even used the same solution for lapping it. Once I get in my stepped up 790i FTW (sometime today), I may take it a step further and lap the CPU as well. Keep up the good work man.

  • Thanks, you too.

  • Holy shit that thing so loud you can hear it from a mile away :P good comp tho

  • Yeah it's the Scythe Ultra-Kaze 3,000 RPM fan. If you turn it down to 2,000 RPM's, it isn't near as loud and it still cools well.

    Thanks.

  • nice set up..cool check my gaming rig too..thanks

  • Thanks and will do.

  • How much did it all cost in the end?

  • Around $3,000

  • u like the disign because your moms hate?

    looool

  • No I like the ergonomic keyboards and my mom doesn't so we settled on the slightly ergonomic Logitech Wave. It's like half and half. I love it...

  • why dont you 2 get a computer each lol

  • Why would we?

Thats just more money that I could put into this one. I don't see why we would get a new PC just for the keyboard. If that was the case, then I would just get another keyboard...

  • there are other advantages of getting separate computers lol

  • hey duz anyone no if the supreme fx2 works wth the original striker extreme i dont like the old supreme fx design

  • The Supreme FXII uses the backwards PCI slot. If the original Striker Extreme has then slot, then it should work...

I just looked at the Striker Extreme and from what I can tell, the Supreme FXII should work...

  • thanx m8 im defo gna buy the supreme fx 2 now thanks again :) nice rig btw looks kool

  • Thanks and no problem.

  • maximus formula 2 with a xfi pciE1 soundcard

but the mobo self is ddr2

  • nice system. but its kinda loud for me...so was my first pc.

but jw how much you spent on this rig?

  • In the end, with all the upgrades and everything, probably around $2800-$3000. It is only loud when the Ultra-Kaze is running at full speed. When I cut it down to around 2,000 RPM's the sound is much better, and the CPU stays cool.

  • nice i spent around there with my first computer...

    isnt this your first build?

  • Yeah it sure is. I'm starting to do some local builds for people that I know.

  • well after your first build most likely you spend less money lol.

my recent build was only 600 dollars. quad core also

  • Awesome, oh... one question is you PSU "enough" for you system, 'cause usually systems that powerful needs more than 800w

    But still, nice rig.

  • I've had no problems so far. A lot of people buy PSU's that are way to powerful for their systems.

  • looks like you are new to computers

  • Why?

  • I just want everyone who reads this to visit vincentdolbydigital's page and watch his videos about his PC. I then want you to come back and read his post here...

    Wow...

  • sorry to offend you i hope you like my extremely goofy way of making fun of this kid I knew in my computer video.

I still remember the first time i built a p3 years back and I was just so happy to put all of the parts together and have it working.

    no hard feelings.

  • No I'm not offended or anything it just seemed kind of odd that someone would make a post like that. It's cool though, I'm not upset or anything...

  • Thanks

  • This is a very nice rig! I have a question about the cpu cooler. Did both of those fans come with the cooler or did you add 1. Anyway just asking because in this case having 2 fans may actually decrease performance. I'm assuming that the since the fan in the middle is running at 3000 rpms its pulling at least 90 CFM's. However, im guessing the blue led fan isnt pulling that much and is actually restricting the 3000 rpm fan. You may wanna look into this a little as im not 100% sure;)

  • Neither of the fans came with the heatsink.

I have experiemented a little with the setup. I plan on testing it some more as I thought the same as you but it turned out the lower power LED fan ended up just kind of feeding air to the 3000 RPM fan and improving air flow. I'll continue to test different configs and I'll get back to you in the next couple of days...

  • good parts but why did you get a nvidia card if ur board suppports crossfire do u preffer nvidia cards

  • Yeah I prefer Nvidia. Or at least I did when the build was made but now the race has evened out now that the new line of cards has come out (4870's vs. GTX 280's). I wasn't planning on going SLI so that was a non-issue. I made the decision to go with the Rampage Formula because of the SATA placement. The ports face out the back while the Nvidia boards have the ports facing straight up.

I may look into SLI/Crossfire in the future with a new board...

  • i preffer nvidia aswell im working on a build now and i dont plan on going sli but if i get enough money i definietly will

  • really nice rig, excellent job for a first build. can i ask, those holes you drilled on the back (i take it you done it yourself) what did you use, just a basic drill ? and where did you buy the blue rings, are those necessary

    thanks, kieran

  • I used a 1 inch bit that is made for metal. You can buy them at Lowes or Home Depot...

And they are not rings. They are little strips of electrical tape layered around the edges. And yes, for me they are necessary. Otherwise, you run the risk of the wires fraying on the sharp metal. The tape just dulls the edges.

And the large 24-pin hole was made by using 2 holes with the 1" metal bit and then I used a cutting bit on a dremel to cut away the remaining metal...

  • great build but why didnt u get 2 x 4870 or one 4870 ? price/preformance (upgrade)

3:44 great place for a radiator
