Do you understand why police show power with weapons, numbers, and such? It is because police see people covering there face as a threat. Why? Well one why would you cover your face? Maybe to hide your identity? Maybe to try and stop/slow the effects of tear gas? A peaceful protest is typically ones that all the people have there face uncovered, and does not turn violent by both sides.

Because the police can add photos into their database and label peaceful demonstrators as "terrorists". They get to spy on everyone with CCTV so why cant the people have anonymity? Every cop as well as private security tell people they arent allowed to film because they are on private property when in fact its public property. But actually there is no law that states you cant film on PUBLIC PROPERTY. They make up the law as they go along.

Of course, the streets technically belong to the Taxpayers, held in trust by the Government & the Crown. So the chant "our streets" isn't really particularly accurate ...as we know that very few of the G20 protesters have jobs or pay Tax. In fact, the streets probably belong to the protesters less than anyone else.
