"Do you think we can get along for 5 minutes without the people below us?Have you ever made a bed?Do you know how to bake bread?sow corn? Raise cattle?Stand guard all night?" "No, the very idea!" "well, these people do,it's base on structure, on trust .When these people figure out you can't even keep your word to a frog, how long do you think it will take for them to figure out that you're Not NEEDED!Once they've figured it out, how long do you think your pretty neck will stay on your shoulders?
In my opinion, that chef should have asked the king and/or the royal guardsmen (who had the frog standing on the silver dish) if the king wanted to eat the frog or not instead of guessing that the king wanted to eat him just because he was standing on the silver dish. (I'm sure he was lucky that he was stopped from trying to cut off the frogs legs otherwise the king would have thrown him out of the castle forever for not asking him about the frog).
I doubt the frog would have gotten the chef in much trouble. I can almost guarantee that if the frog was cooked, it would have been eaten end of story, and everybody happy!
Well, ever since the princess explained the story on how nice the frog was, the king really liked the frog and wanted him as a roommate for the princess and probably the king would have wanted to see the frog before anyone can do anything to him which could be one reason why one of the royal helpers stopped the chef at 10:20. (If the chef was going to cook him, he should have told the king if he wants the frog raw or well done then the king would tell him that he's not to be eaten).
Another thing, if the chef really did kill and cook the frog, the king probably wouldn't of eaten him where he would just keep his dead body in a box forever because, he appreciated very much how nice he was to the princess where he might have felt guilty eating him after his niceness. Plus, as soon as the frog turned back into a human at the end (before the king found out) the king was willing to hit his daughter (the princess) thinking that she killed and got rid of the frog.
I might be wrong but, maybe it's some kind of camera trick that makes it look like a frog is standing on the table. (When I saw the movie "The Lord Of The Rings" I always wondered how they made "Gandalf The Wizard" look so big, and someone told me that it's a camera trick when the camera was adjusted in a special way that makes Gandalf look a lot bigger than the hobbits. So maybe it's the same thing here but, I might be wrong).

@lollipopfop Except that the Princess would have been killed by the scorpion that night since the Frog wouldn't have been there to protect her!

Till this day, I don't know how they can make it seem like the frog is really standing there - like on the Chef's table.

They used the blue screen.
