@jobana1234 Actually no its not that hard, its just he sound of the uniform, if you learn how to do it, you can make that sound easily. My friend Marvin does it all the time, but it takes practice. The first time i did it i got a serious rug burn...
I am a Tae Kwon Do fighter. Half black belt...for now. I believe Tae Kwon Do fighters have sturdy body, especially their feet, the are so strong and they can't be broken.
The Taegeuk Poomses takes many years to master properly, breathing, body coil / recoil, tension, compression, breathing, relaxation and use of power, focus to the target. Once mastered through proper SAFE training through thousands of repetitions these Taeguek Poomses as well as others as there are so many POOMSES/Hyungs/Tuls or KATA in JAPANESE, it becomes second nature = ONE HAS CONDITIONED THE MIND/BODY reflex and can be modified to PRACTICALITY and used in SELF-DEFENSE situations.
@LAPUbutsekikMAG I have to disagree with you. Yes it has the purpose of using it as self-defense but they're completely unrealistic. I have trained taekwondo for 6 years. They're a great way to remember techniques and use them in a series of other techniques BUT I think they're unrealistic when it comes to real combat. In real self-defense you must learn hosinsul, which is also a great part of Taekwondo. Hosinsul is great as self-defense and real life situations. dont get me wrong i love taeguks
I learned this form, I don't remember the tension protected/guarded uppercuts. They were just regular guarded/protected uppercuts. I also love his stances, and his muscle control is phenomenal, very excellent video. If only I had his kind of muscle control :P
I have practiced Kung Fu To'A, Taekwondo, Wushu and Silat for the last two decades. I can say from my experience that none can help you unless you do your best to get the best out of each. If you are serious with them, they all can be the best for you. I have learnt a lot from each of the arts I have tried and learnt. I love them all.
@dcl90s find yourself a reputable dojang not just another McDojo. Im in Southern CA and our Master and Grand MAster are Korean, 9th dan and 5th we have two guest masters from Korea training with us this summer who are Korean national champions in sparring and forms.
This is halfway true in my opinion. I take a Taekwondo class in America, and I have to say that we've tried to simulate as much of a real fight as possible. I also think it depends what school you go to, but that's just my humble opinion. I do know, that if I ever got into a real fight (even though, martial arts is about self defense, not picking a fight or continuing one) it's all about mental toughness. If you don't have that, then you can kiss your ass goodbye.
@twobadasses but the techniques taught in tkd aren't really effective unless you are a strong person with long legs, and I mean very strong. Taijutsu focus on effective ways to REALLY HURT the opponent in easy ways without a direct struggle of strength vs strength. Another good one and more effective than tkd is Wing Chun. The more traditional martial arts (like tkd) are too "honorable" for real combat.
@dcl90s "Honorable"... You'd like to hear my master teaching us how to be sure to crush the balls. Don't just mix up the sport and the do. Thus, hurting is not a goal...
@jaquesgrobler2 first, you won't learn martial arts from a video, second I'm blue belt in tkd, but left it because it's uneffective, 3rd I said I prefer ninjutsu cause I already have 1 year and a half training it, and has incredible results on ones control over the body as well as it is way deadlier and suitable for REAL fighting, and useful in situations where real threats are nearby
danke

@Amantulo There isn't the most powerfull Martial Art in the world, it's the individual person who is great, not the art
