Please tell me you have the bloody version, no one believes me that it exists even though I tell them about it and how it scared me when i was a teen. :)
Actually the disturbing version was actually a test cut we did and was only shown in the midwest. They tossed a bucket of blood up against the glass. It didn't test well. 7 months after we shot the commercial, I flew out to reshoot 2 alternate endings with me being slammed up against the glass and another with a dummy being tossed in the air.
Very cool! How did you acquire the artwork since the card was never released? I have an 11x14 color print that the Wizards of the Coast gave to me. Haven't framed it yet. I also have an autographed Orrg card from the artist as well. He at least owes me that since his Orrg killed me. Or did he?
Thanks for the comment! As you'll see in my comment below, a card was made of my likeness and I have the artwork from it. It was for what was to be called "The Bloopers" deck. It also had "Poodle Boy" in it from the same series of commmercials we shot.
THEY SHOULD TOTALLY MAKE A BOB THE ACCOUNTANT CARD!!!!!!! Do you know anything about the game? I hope you do. If not, there're these sets called 'Unhatched' and 'Unglued' that just have random hilarious stuff. And me and my friends keep thinking about how they should make another one called 'Unbroken' (a little joke in their cause all the 'un' sets are definately broken) And they could put Bob The Accountant in there!!!!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember that when I first saw this ad on TV, the window was sprayed with blood, rather than "Bob" being thrown against the window. Does anybody else remember that?
You are correct! When we shot that, I was actually supposed to jump on a trampoline about 15 feet into the air and hit the glass. That didn't work so they sprayed blood on the glass. It didn't test well in the midwest so we had to reshoot the ending. We did 2 green screen endings. The one that's on here and another with a dummy in the air.
PS. MtG commercials have sucked lately, and we're starting a official petition for them to make a "Bob's vengeance" (or something like that) commercial.
Awesome! Send them to this YouTube site so they can contact me? hehehe You never know what a petition can do! I do have "Bob" trading card that they made but never put out. It was to go in a "bloopers" MTG deck with loser characters. I have the artwork. I should put it up.
I seem to remember this coming on a CD-ROM demo of the computer game when I bought a start pack sometime around 1999 or 2000. Awesome.

I do have the bloody version on VHS. Wong Doody, the production company, gave me all of the versions. The blood wasn't even real. It was CG blood.
